This thread is amazing. Great job.

Reading through the 47 pages of back history…was Lindsey Buckingham’s “Holiday Road” ever modified for lower difficulties? Or was it only ever published as Expert only?

Holiday Road should be expert only. Thanks for checking out the thread.

Because I felt like it, and I go hard.

Thanks beard216. Much appreciated to you and everybody else who looks out for the EMH unwashed masses!

CAT Redux of Porcupine Tree’s album “Deadwing” is now posted in my thread!

I’m not sure I would abbreviate reductions to “redux”, since it implies you’re actually reworking the original material.

Welp, no progress has been made on the DT material due to one reason: a summer class at my college. So unless on weekends, there will be nothing done until late June. I’m not expecting much with charts to get finished this summer. In fact, I’ve become so pre-occupied with charting that I am neglecting other things that I want to do with myself. It’s almost as if charting has become an addiction to me, which isn’t healthy in the least bit. Then again, part of me is like “If I don’t chart the stuff I aim to chart, who will?” I may be a machine, but even a machine can be pushed a little bit too far. And besides, I’m working towards a writing major, so I should focus on honing that craft. So yes, this is a hiatus from charting and I don’t know how long it will be. And even I don’t make any new charts after “Black Clouds and Silver Linings” is completed, there are still several charts from my days as an FoFiX charter that have been unreleased by me (even if most of them are guitar/drums only). Some of them are dead links on that site, but I have all the files on my computer. These include:

                * Frank Zappa pack (8 songs) (Guitar/Drums)

                1. Frank Zappa – “Black Napkins”

                2. Frank Zappa – “Cosmik Debris”

                3. Frank Zappa – “Drowning Witch”

                4. Frank Zappa – “Muffin Man”

                5. Frank Zappa – “The Illinois Enema Bandit (Live)”

                6. Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention – “Montana”

                7. The Mothers of Invention – “My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama”

                8. The Mothers Of Invention – “Inca Roads”

                * Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Boss Battle Themes (9 tracks) (boss name in parenthesis) (G/D)

                1. Maniac Agenda – “Rules Of Nature” (Metal Gear Ray)

                2. Maniac Agenda – “I’m My Own Master Now” (Blade Wolf)

                3. Maniac Agenda – “A Stranger I Remain” (Mistral)

                4. Maniac Agenda – “The Stains Of Time (Instrumental version)” (Monsoon)

                5. Maniac Agenda – “Red Sun” (Sundowner)

                6. Maniac Agenda – “The Only Thing I Know For Real” (Jetstream Sam)

                7. Maniac Agenda – “Collective Consciousness” (Metal Gear Excelsus)

                8. Maniac Agenda – “It Has To Be This Way” (Senator Armstrong)

                9. Maniac Agenda – “The Hot Wind Blowing” (Khamsin)

                * Death’s “The Sound Of Perseverance” (full album) (G/D, unless noted)

                1. Death – “Scavenger of Human Sorrow”

                2. Death – “Bite The Pain”

                3. Death – “Spirit Crusher”

                4. Death – “Story To Tell”

                5. Death – “Flesh and the Power It Holds”

                6. Death – “To Forgive Is To Suffer”

                7. Death – “Voice Of The Soul” (has G/K play harmonized guitars and B play rhythm, no drums)

                8. Death – “A Moment of Clarity

                9. Death – “Painkiller” (not included because we have the Judas Priest original)

                * Avenged Sevenfold (6 pack, G/B/D on all songs)

                1. Avenged Sevenfold – “ (negated as someone did a version with vocals)

                2. Avenged Sevenfold – “I Won’t See You Tonight (Parts I and II)”

                3. Avenged Sevenfold – “M.I.A.”

                4. Avenged Sevenfold – “Save Me”

                5. Avenged Sevenfold – “Second Heartbeat”

                6. Avenged Sevenfold – “The Wicked End”

                Death Pack (G/D, unless noted))

                1. Death – “Pull The Plug”

                2. Death – “Symbolic”

                3. Death – “The Philosopher” (G/D/:cool:

                4. Death – “Zombie Ritual”

                * “Metropolis” (from the Nascar Rumble OST, G/B/K/D)

                * Budgie – “Breadfan”

                * The Protomen – “The Will Of One” (G/B/K/D)

                * The Protomen – “Built To Last” (G/B/K/D)

As for people notifying me on how “Black Clouds and Silver Linings” is coming along, the Guitar/Bass/Keys/Drums are completely finished on all songs except for “A Rite Of Passage” and after that, vocals will need to be done on “A Nightmare To Remember,” “A Rite Of Passage,” “Wither,” and “The Shattered Fortress.” As is, “The Count Of Tuscany” (duh), and “The Best of Times” are completely finished (at least with what I can put with them).

Also, since EOF has no equivalent to CAT, I can only provide the expert charts. It’s Dream Theater, so Beard’s probably going to CAT them anyway. :excited:

I’m all about bringing those Metal Gear tracks to RB3 when you get the time. I’ve always been a fan of Metal Gear music. Even if you can’t get to anything until late June don’t worry about it. Real life is more important.

Black Napkins was already converted by AJFOne and Muffin Man by me. I might convert some more songs from Zappa in the future, but if anyone’s up for it, please go ahead, as I’m spending less time for customs this time around.

And I just converted and posted Death – The Philosopher.

BTW, thank you guys for all those songs. I never listened to Porcupine Tree before and I gotta admit, it’s a pretty cool band which is super fun to play on drums. :excited:

As for Dream Theater, I have all but one song (“A Rite Of Passage) finished from the “Black Clouds and Silver Linings” album on G/B/D/K right now. I have vocals done on “The Best Of Times.” All I can say is that multitracks make charting for Bass and Keys MUCH easier.

Also, the Zeppelin (what I was able to see from what videos were not taken down) looks badass.

I have A Rite Of Passage custom I found on frets on fire…I think? Either way, it’s full multi-track with harmonies and pro keys, a full-fledged song, I can upload it and save you some trouble of doing a whole other song.

Hi, first off just wanted to thank you and everyone else here at C3 for all the wonderful charts so far! Lots of great songs charted in this thread alone. That said, I did try to play the Count of Tuscany 1x pedal and after re-downloading and re-copying it a few times it doesn’t seem to be showing up in my setlist (the 2x bass pedal version shows up and plays just fine). Is there an issue with the file?
