May 5, 2015 at 10:35 pm #444708Sorry for mentioning a song, that you have probably been long done with for over a year now, but is Neverending Story all difficulties? Con Tools say Expert Only, if that the case would you mind doing a quick and simple CAT reduction.
Thanks in advance
Link me to the CON, and i’ll throw it in the Sideshow CAT redux pack!
Nevermind, Found it!
May 6, 2015 at 12:15 am #444714Oh by the way, the game freezes when I try to play Time Flies on pro guitar. Pro bass works fineDon’t mean to sound like a big complainer, I appreciate the work, I just want to inform you
That makes sense because I compiled it for a 22 fret pro guitar only(Squier). I could make a 17 fret version(mustang) but it would require a ton of time reducing many sections on the guitar down an octave. I could easily just make all the 18,19,20 fret notes to 17’s but then the chart wouldnt be correct.
May 6, 2015 at 2:29 am #444723I’m not sure if that’s the cause, I’ve played some customs that only have 22 frets using my 17 fret guitar and they don’t freeze, I just can’t play the high notes…
I believe the one I played is RBHP Foreplay/Long Time pro guitar upgrade
Although maybe that is it, I have no idea.

The reason the Pro Guitar is freezing is because I didn’t compile the song with a 17 fret chart. If I just bypass the midi validator in Magma and compile the 22 fret chart as a 17 fret it should work for you even though the Mustang can’t hit those notes. I’ll update the song soon so you can test it out. I appreciate you helping me with the Pro Guitar charts because hardly anybody else seems to play them or give any feedback at least.
UPDATE: Give this version a try and get back to me when possible. If it works for you I’ll just take down V1.

May 6, 2015 at 12:10 pm #444752Hey Sideshow, ever think of charting some Haken or Devin Townsend? Only reason I’m asking is because it seems you share the same love of prog as I do. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

There are a few customs from them done by other authors if you werent already aware.

Let me know if you want to do anything off of Addicted. Especially “Ih-Ah!”

I just wanna find CONs of theirs to reduce, or FoF/PS files to put into Magma. So, if their is more Haken/Devin that i’m not aware of, link me? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
May 6, 2015 at 5:24 pm #444772The only stuff by those two that’s been released as far as I know is the C3 stuff

This version doesn’t load on anything. Album art is blank, no audio preview in the song menu.

The version 2 that I just uploaded of Time Flies works for me. Album art, audio preview all looks perfect in game. I even loaded up the Pro Guitar chart using my midi pro adapter and all is good. Did you try deleting your song cache? I can confirm that the heavy part on Pro Guitar for “Normal” is missing numbers on the chords in game. They do show up in Reaper so I’m not sure whats going on there.
May 7, 2015 at 2:44 am #444805I’ll try getting it to work in other ways next time I play. I don’t delete song caches because I’d lose too much stuff but I can usually get things to work by playing with the song ID and putting things in packs etc.
May 7, 2015 at 11:57 pm #444902Sideshow, thank you for getting me to like Porcupine Tree! I’m listening to Deadwing all the way thru As we speak. Expect this whole album to be REDUX’D!

Expect this whole album to be REDUX’D!Your quite welcome. I too wasn’t very familiar of their content until I started working with Meander on these customs. They are an awesome modern prog rock band. Well modern as of 2010 because the band split up since then.

Yeah, as far as I know, Steven Wilson is a producer now, he did Opeth’s “Heritage”, and thats most likely why Opeth sounds like PTree 2.0
