April 28, 2015 at 10:26 pm #444037Holy fucking DT Batman! I’ll have some fun with those!
Yes, you will. Especially since all but “The Enemy Inside,” “Never Enough,” and “Yste Jam” eclipse the 10 minute mark. With “A Change Of Seasons” and “Illumination Theory” crossing the 20-minute mark. However, “In The Presence Of Enemies,” at 25 minutes and 36 seconds, will be the longest full-band custom attempted (surpassing “Octavarium” by about a minute and a half).

April 28, 2015 at 11:16 pm #444044Yeah I’ve done quite a few of those for pro keys. PM me the files when you can. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

PM me the files when you can. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />Yeah, I was at one point considering doing all of “Awake” (honestly my second favorite DT album, with SFoM being #1 and IaW being #3), but I was thinking that C3 would probably beat me to it. In fact, I was going to do a third track from Black Clouds and Silver Linings (that I won’t mention nor give any clue towards), but I actually got a PM from a C3 author who told me he was currently working on that song for a future C3 release.
As is, I’ve sent “The Count of Tuscany,” “Endless Sacrifice,” and “Breaking All Illusions” to Sideshow for release after Porcupine Tree 01. Given that I only have vocals to do on “A Change Of Seasons” and the last half of Bass on “Never Enough,” half the pack may be out then. Or it will be steadily released over the course of May.
April 29, 2015 at 1:25 am #444050I have no problems compiling all your charts Meander to release in my thread but if they are ultimately desired to have all the bells and whistles so to speak to become C3 releases then maybe the charts should be sent to someone else such as mazegeek999 for a future release date.

April 29, 2015 at 9:07 am #444079There is stems for A Change Of Seasons.
April 29, 2015 at 11:42 am #444087Fuck, I can’t wait for these. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
April 30, 2015 at 10:33 pm #444207There is stems for A Change Of Seasons.Well, I could only find stems for the Black Clouds and Silver Linings album.
And at this point, I don’t know if I’m going to send the rest to Sideshow or Mazegeek. I was originally thinking both and have Sideshow’s up until the C3 versions get released. But I’m thinking myself now.
Anyways, I’m trying to get the longer ones out of the way now, so I’m working on In The Presence of the Enemies now. Got Part I tempo-mapped and charted on Guitar. Tempo-mapping Part II (the longer section) now.
April 30, 2015 at 10:45 pm #444208It is on a website that has lot’s of Dream Theater stems but I can’t say the website as it will break the rules.
I love long songs so I can’t wait.

I’d say send them to me for adding pro keys and cleaning up charts, that’s all. And then Sideshow can compile them. I’ve done a bunch of pro keys charts, including the entire ITPOE, so they can be sent to me for the pro keys.
May 1, 2015 at 2:46 pm #444280As long as the tempo maps of the Dream Theater songs don’t have major problems I can breeze through compiling them. I may just release non Pro Keys versions in my thread for people who are ancy to play them. Then we can update them with Pro Keys down the line. Just finished doing phase 1 of the Porcupine Tree pack. Just need to play them in game to verify there is no tempo map issues. I’ll start on the Dream Theater this weekend.

That’s kind of the idea I’m at now. Also, Harmonies will have to be added. Since the charting system I use allows everything except pro keys and harmonies.
As for cleaning up charts, I’ve gotten a lot better at keeping the tempos under control than I used to. In fact, whenever I go through an old FoF chart, I sort out it’s tempo map issues before charting (which is what I did with Stream of Consciousness as it’s original tempo map had one random beat of 720 BPM for no reason at all, which I corrected). The most I’ve had with the DT tracks is one lone beat of 297, which is a result of factoring in a /16 measure in Breaking All Illusions.
So, I’m balancing between finals and DT now.

May 2, 2015 at 7:38 am #444374May is upon us and I’m not slowing down bringing people new songs to play. After releasing three full albums, Meander and I bring you various singles taken from several albums of Porcupine Tree’s 20 year discography. After this release we now have an excellent representation of Porcupine Tree in Rock Band. I only wish now that Harmonix will release some of these songs sometime into RB4’s lifespan.

Here is a song from Porcupine Tree’s first album. This was back when Steven Wilson composed nearly all the music himself making it somewhat of a solo project.

Signify marks the first album where Steven Wilson actually had a band on board from the beginning. Hey we got a Rock Band now!

Even Less originally appeared on Stupid Dream as an edited version. It wasn’t until a later compilation album that the full version appeared which is what is released here. I decided to use the original 1999 album art for this uncut version of the song.

Lightbulb Sun is a new incarnation for the band moving their sound to a more commercial/alternative/prog genre. This song has a strong middle eastern influence to it.

Another song off of Lightbulb Sun. Once again a more radio friendly short length song like Four Chords. I think the drums are a bit undertiered if you play the 2X version.

Russia On Ice is a wonderful song that starts off very slow and progressively gets more challenging as you get to the end. A very cool track to round off the LightBulb Sun three pack.

Think of the Nil Recurring EP as a continuation to the Fear of a Blank Planet album. This is an outstanding song that features Pro Guitar and Bass! Drums are great with Gavin Harrison on board.

The Incident as of now is the last album recorded by Porcupine Tree. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Surround Sound Album. This song also contains Pro Guitar and Bass. I wanted to mention that I compiled this song with a 22 Fret chart only. I did not feel like changing the higher fret velocity’s down to a 17 fret chart. For the very few of you that actually play Pro Guitar I hope you have the Squier!
And that does it for Porcupine Tree for the time being. I hope that all of you custom players that downloaded the songs enjoyed them as much as I have worked on them. Humongous shout out to Meander for making Porcupine Tree Rock Band a reality. I may go back in the future and add harmonies to some songs and do some polish but for now these are completely playable for a full band experience. Take care virtual rockers and I’ll be back with more new content at a future date.
Oh, I almost forgot. Voc Sonder NL sent me a Bass chart for SOYCD. I couldn’t wait any longer Chip’s for that updated guitar chart. I’ll just update the song again if that happens. Enjoy!
