I’m really late to the party but I have to give a big thanks for those camel customs, been one of my most wanted bands in RB3 for a looong time now.
April 23, 2015 at 11:44 pm #443574Also, I’m going to take a stab at improving the guitar chart for shine on you crazy diamond I-V since you posted the project files. As a real guitarist, playing that chart made me feel ill. I’ll send it to you as quick as I can
Edit: Going to try to put together some guitar and bass charts for dark side of the moon too, if I find the energy. I’ve got half a week off work so might as well do something with myself. Might add some bass to Pigs too, that song is in desperate need of a bass chart.

Funny you should mention “Shine on you crazy diamond I-V”. I just received a bass chart recently so I will wait till you give me an updated guitar chart before I release the update.
April 24, 2015 at 1:34 am #443590I’ll try not to keep you waiting, man. I mean, all I’m really doing is editing the original charter’s notes so that they actually have a shred of guitar-specific musical logic behind them and tossing it back to you so I don’t imagine it should take too long. This is actually the first time I’ve ever charted anything with a tempo map and it immediately feels great, even though all the legwork has been done.
April 24, 2015 at 1:39 am #443591those guitar pink floyd charts done by me need a rework, but drums are perfect.
i’ve been to busy, but i want to release some drum tracks for alan parsons project (guitar and bass charts contributions would be great), also more camel is on the way….
April 24, 2015 at 2:53 am #443598yeah dude, your drums are always fantastic. when it comes down to it i’m just polishing the groundwork you’ve laid down here with the guitar chart. i think you’ll really like the end result
April 25, 2015 at 5:26 pm #443690Progress on the Dream Theater customs:
* “Breaking All Illusions” has G/B/D charted. Working on the Keys chart now. Ditto with “A Change Of Seasons.”
* “Endless Sacrifice” has all but vocals charted.
* “The Best Of Times” has guitar fully charted and bass and drums charted up until the 7 minute mark.
Basically, I’m going through and sorting out potential time-signature errors. I can also say there are no over-300 BPM portions in anything I’ve charted for DT. The closest to reaching that is 297 BPM having to squeeze in a 3/16 time signature measure into a quarter note’s space. And that’s because EOF only synchs to denominations of /4. Not /8 or /16. Which leads me to doing things such as labeling a 9/8 measure in 3/4 (and turning 8th notes into 8th note triplets). A lot of the weird stuff that I’m going to do for these charts is more of a byproduct of the different time signatures that DT uses.
In fact, as an example “Breaking All Illusions” uses the following time signatures (in order): (PATTERN A) 4/4, 9/8, 4/4 (x2), 7/8, 4/4, 9/8, 4/4 (x2), 9/8 [whole pattern repeat], (PATTERN 4/4, 9/8, 4/4 (x2), 9/8 [repeat], (PATTERN C) 5/4 (12 measures), a variation of PATTERN A where the last measure is 6/4 instead of 9/8, 2 measures of 4/4, [VERSE PATTERN] 7/4, 6/4, 5/4, 7/4 (play from measures 56-91), 6/4 (measures 92-107), 4/4 (measures 108-130), 6/4, [PATTERN B] (measures 131-141), 5/4 (measures 142-153), 4/4, 9/8, 4/4 (x2), 7/8, 6/8, 3/16, 6/8, 4/16 (x2), 6/8, 3/16 (x2), 6/8, 4/16, 3/16 (x2), 4/8, 3/16 (x2), 4/8, 3/16 (x2), 4/4 (x2), 6/8, 3/16, 6/8, 4/16 (x2), 4/8, 3/16 (x2), 4/8, 3/16 (x4), 6/8, 3/16, 6/8, 4/16 (x2), 6/8, 3/16 (x2), 6/8, 4/16, 3/16 (x2), [PATTERN D] 4/4, 9/8 (repeat once), 7/8, 10/8, 7/8, 9/8, 4/4 (8 measures), 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 4/4 (measures 223 to 310) [PATTERN E] 4/4, 5/8, 5/4, 4/4, 5/4 (repeat once) [PATTERN F] 6/8 (3 measures), 5/8 [play 4 times], 6/8, 5/8, 6/8, 5/8, 6/8 (x2), 4/8, [PATTERN F] (x2), 6/8, 5/8, 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 5/8, 6/8, 4/8, [PATTERN G] 3/4 (x2), 2/4, 3/4 (x2) (play twice, but add an extra 2/4 at the end of second time), 5/4 (x2), [PATTERN G] (once), 5/4 (x22), 4/4 (x19, with ritards), 7/4, 4/4.
TL;DR, that’s 169 time signature changes versus 104 for The Dance Of Eternity (even if Breaking All Illusions is more than twice as long). This was HELL to sync.
April 26, 2015 at 1:28 am #443717I got content this week in the form of one song. Dream Theater’s Stream of Consciousness in full band devil tiered goodness. Work will begin on the Porcupine Tree singles pack for hopefully next weekend release. Yes, there will be more Dream Theater in the future.

Oh yes! You ever listen to the other two Porcupine Tree album’s I’ve had Sideshow convert?
Also, I’m actually about ready with my first ever multitrack custom. Done with all but the last minute of The Count of Tuscany for vocals.
Also, I came into contact with a drum chart for Illumination Theory. So that track may get a move-on.
EDIT: The Count of Tuscany is finished and (along with Breaking All Illusions) will be the next DT track to be released.
April 27, 2015 at 11:16 am #443875I hope Sideshow doesn’t mind, but I threw “Stream Of Consciousness” into REAPER and did CAT Reductions on Guitar/Bass/Drums. This is my first Reduction try! So I didn’t go as far as cleaning up the reductions, but I played it on Hard Guitar, and it seemed ok! The solo needs to be touched up, but other than that, here’s a CAT EMH of it!
