Yeah, I was partially against the LoD,DoD custom being up before I finished the rest of the Keys chart for it. In Parama’s original guitar chart, what was charted to Keys (aka the sax and synth solos) were on the guitar chart. And there were no trill lanes. I added them because I felt like they fit given that they are for wah-wah trills.
I may end up downloading this con (to get a version with tempo fixes) and finish the keys chart as well as chart vocals to it. I may also do some personal reworking of the drum chart. Mostly because this was one of the first songs I charted drums for. I’ve done a lot of songs since then and I’ve grown as a charter.
As for my Dream Theater stuff, I can say there will be no harmonies or Pro Keys. I hate to be a killjoy, but anything that I do will not have either because I use EOF and I can’t chart either with it.
But I do know that The Protomen’s Act II: The Father Of Death will be coming before any Dream Theater from me.

I believe we could get one more instrument into the LODDOD song. If you finish the keys chart and do vocals that would be killer.
April 4, 2015 at 3:08 am #442034I believe we could get one more instrument into the LODDOD song. If you finish the keys chart and do vocals that would be killer.Well, I’ve started the task of doing just that. Starting with the vocals. And I’m saving THAT part for last (the one part of the song that will make this a devil-tier on vocals).
As for that part being possibly being made on drugs, well, Green Carnation is the brainchild of one man: Tchort (played bass and main vocals), a former member of Emperor. So he went from one of the most famed black metal bands of all time to this.
April 5, 2015 at 6:59 pm #442125I apologize for keeping that “Intro” text event in the Events track. That sure is preventing one to even practice a song. I’ll make sure to delete that event entirely for future releases. It would be a ton of work to check each of my previously released songs, recompile, then upload them. I would be willing to fix a small batch of requested songs. On second thought regarding adding more instruments to “Light of Day, Day of Darkness”. If I were to export the midi from Reaper muting the single kick track for compiling the 2X version and vice versa for compiling the single kick version it would save a significant amount of space size for the midi allowing another instrument such as bass or vocals. So there is a possibility of seeing this custom get a fourth instrument in the future.
Don’t apologize ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> and I’ll dig around to add sections myself eventually, I assume it wouldn’t be too hard for the couple of songs I have in mind.
Practice mode is how I play Rock Band, I started to play that way with RB2. Practice mode accomplishes 3 things; it removes overdrives so I always play the complete chart, even the hardest fills – it removes the crowd-meter so I can complete the chart even if I’m getting my ass handed to me (impossible to get a feel for the song if you can’t even start playing) – and the part’s name is displayed at the top. That way it’s easy to go back to specific patterns and practice them over and over.
Welp, once again, huge thanks to you/Meander/whoever else is contributing, gotta love the internet.
I’m gonna have to insist, any place to chip-in a tip ? $5-10, I feel its pretty damn justified

Not on these forums.
April 5, 2015 at 9:09 pm #442132Welp, I’m doing THAT section of Light of Day, Day of Darkness on vocals now. Apparently, the highest note the vocalist hits here is a D6. The EOF Piano (for matching the pitch) can only chart up to a C6. Yeah, this one is getting a devil on vocals for the crazy lady singing on here.
Also, I am currently fishing for multi-tracks to use for the Dream Theater customs. I found ones for The Count of Tuscany and The Best of Times. Anybody care to PM me if they find a place to find others?
April 6, 2015 at 3:47 am #442154Two customs today with 2 instruments charted. Heard of Led Zeppelin before? Well these are some amazing drums songs charted by Oscarj08. Four Sticks guitar is charted by IvanMQ1. Moby Dick has been completely overhauled from the previously released version. Good luck trying to keep a combo on that one! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

I looked at all my project files for everything I ever done and didn’t see Moby Dick. I’m guessing the previously released version was by Floydian, even though I thought I did that one.
April 6, 2015 at 4:24 am #442157yeah but this is a complety updated chart of MD.
April 11, 2015 at 4:53 am #442506Today’s big release is a 40 minute death metal extravaganza from the Swedish prog metal band Edge of Sanity. Previously this song was released by Psym but it was a guitar only custom. Now two people can head bang the night away and pass out afterwards playing this album coop! I used Psym’s tempo map and guitar chart to make this custom and then spent hours syncing Meander’s drum chart to fit the tempo map. What a pain in the ass! I almost gave up on this song because I had trouble getting the song to load in game after a few compile attempts. Luckily I moved some markers around on the guitar chart and walla it works. Guitar is charted by Delainfir, Pro Drums by Meander, and I made some minor changes to the drum chart, added OD and compiled. I put 13 guitar solo sections in this custom because the original midi’s had them already. You want a challenging epic song? Here you go.

Thanks to rezavakili for bringing to my attention that The Doors “I Looked At You” was completely missing the last section on drums. The chart is now complete.

Here is an acoustic song that features some tricky chords from Neutral Milk Hotel. Never heard of this band before but when I was looking for the album art I found a picture of Paris Hilton holding up a copy of this album so maybe she is a fan? Guitar chart by Missingno42128 and OD/compiling by me.

Here is an update to the drums for Camel’s “Lunar Sea”. Guitar is now added thanks to Missingno42128! A very difficult song on both instruments.

Finally I have a Jethro Tull song which I believe was originally created by NarutoStarWars123456. He charted drums for it. I went ahead and gave the drum chart Pro Toms. Missingno42128 charted guitar and your gonna wanna check this out for the sick flute solo! Drums is really fun too which features a variety of tom fills.

Work has begun on Porcupine Tree’s “Deadwing” album. If all goes well I’ll upload it next weekend. Have fun!
April 11, 2015 at 6:23 am #442507Been waiting for a Locomotive Breath custom for a while. I’d be happy to reduce that down if you would like; plus if/when you finish any other instruments on that. Just PM me the project if you want.
April 11, 2015 at 3:04 pm #442525Yeah. The Crimson custom has some seriously difficult sections on drums (hello blast beats).
Meanwhile, I’ve attempted to sync multitracks to an existing chart of The Best of Times. To good results. But at first, I’ll be charting Bass, Keys, and Vocals to the five songs of the Twelve Step Suite. So they can be played full band.
April 11, 2015 at 3:10 pm #442526If you want vox on NMH, let me know. Been a fan of the album for a while, tried to BPM map “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea” back before I knew the Q shortcut, got distracted and quit.
April 11, 2015 at 3:59 pm #442529nice releases, amazing work on lunar sea (myself and missigno) ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> nice to see JT, im not much envolved into their music but still a great band
