Wow. Even without pro keys, the Anesthetize full album is probably my favourite “other customs release” ever. I only had time to play through it once on bass but so far the charting felt good to me. A big thank you to everyone involved.

One complaint I have though is that playing on headphones the seemed to be some niggling issues with audio quality. I felt like Anesthetize had something strange going on with instrument volume levels and most of the other songs sounded like a really low quality mp3 with muddy guitars and cymbals, I’m sorry to say.

Does anyone else have problems trying to play the CAT reductions of the “In Absentia” album? I only got “Blackest Eyes” to show in game but selecting that gives an error. Also errors in Party Buffalo for any of the tracks.

Alright I’ve just found that due to the way I compiled the CAT songs, they were all assigned the same song ID’s. Fixing that right now and reuploading, sorry for the inconvenience dudes!

This week I have for you drummers some more Camel and King Crimson goodness! Oscarj08 is at it working hard with charting all these songs while I add the overdrive and package them up. I plan on making some videos of the Camel songs eventually so stay tuned on my youtube channel for them. There are also 4 updates to existing King Crimson songs I have released before with fixes done to the drum charts. Finally I found Accepts “Balls to the Walls” from FOF that’s been sitting on my hard drive for like 6 months that I forgot about. This is the cover version from GH Rock the 80’s but now its got drums! Drums are charted by piinyouri but they needed some polishing up and didn’t have pro tom markers. I got rid of the over 1000bpm tempo markers :wth: added overdrive, band unisons and packaged it up. Oh ya, EMH difficulties for guitar and bass but drums is expert only.

Camel Echoes is very damn hard!!, maybe if RB3 had an optimus open-closed hi hat system, songs like camel’s echoes and king crimson three of a perfect pair (and few others more) would be more fun to play and reach an fc,

i have a friend who has two hi-hats in his electronic drumkit, for this kind of songs

We can only pray that RB4 improves upon the hi hat where authors chart open hi hat as a stacked yellow circle icon instead of blue. Even if they don’t patch all the older DLC(which would take them a long time to go through all those songs and rechart open hihat) going forward it would be great for the new content.

I have always wanted this. Haven’t people been able to mod their ekits to sorta mimic it even though it isn’t in game?

I’ve got different setups for my kit: One where open hi hat is yellow and closed is blue and one where both are blue (i’m a lefty). It’s by no means perfect though, as you can’t do the stuff inbetween closed and open, because it’s instantly recognised as open when you lift your foot slighty. and the songs are often charted in an inconsequent way hi-hat wise where open is only charted yellow when open and closed alternate, but many open notes in a row are blue. But i think it still adds to the gameplay, for example with a song like tom sawyer it works quite well.

Welp, I’ve not stopped my custom-making train lately. I’ve just made it that they are being developed at a slower rate than before.

As a matter of fact, I feel like I’m encouraged to keep on making customs since I am now someone that has contributed to an official C3 custom (“Woke Up This Morning” from the TV Themes pack has the bass/drum/and legacy keys charts made by me). I always wanted my contributions to the customs community be recognized by the C3 community and by the higher-ups, so between that and the praise I’ve gotten from the Porcupine Tree customs, I’m glad I’m finally getting respect as a charter.

My two projects at work are the Dream Theater pack (which has gone through several changes since I posted the potential track-listing for it) and the album by The Protomen. The latter will probably be finished first. Then, I’ll be working fully on the Dream Theater pack.

However, with DT, there will be an issue that comes about. EOF can only use time-signatures of _/4, so a signature like 7/8 (1+2+3+h) or 11/8 (1+2+3+4+5+h) was tempo-mapped with the “h’s” as quarter notes…..only speeding up the tempo by double for a beat. The other possible situation was making measures of _/8 that aren’t divisible (9/8 can be divided into 3/4) into double-time. The thing is that both scenarios pop up several times in the charts that I’m cleaning up (they were previously FoF charts) to use as a springboard for the full-band customs. I figure it’s better to take something established than to start completely from scratch.

Another thing is that a charter named Puppetz frequently charted keyboard solos to the guitar charts. Since this is RB3 and we have Keys, I’m transplanting those sections over to the keys chart where they belong. This leaves me having to chart the actual guitar part underneath, which I did by ear for some parts of the Twelve Step Suite.

Basically, the revised tracklisting for the Dream Theater pack is…..

    * Dream Theater – A Change Of Seasons

    * Dream Theater – Breaking All Illusions

    * Dream Theater – Endless Sacrifice

    * Dream Theater – Illumination Theory

    * Dream Theater – Lines In The Sand

    * Dream Theater – Stream Of Consciousness

    * Dream Theater – The Best Of Times

    * Dream Theater – The Count Of Tuscany

    * Dream Theater – Yste Jam

In addition to that, I’m going to be splitting up the parts of the Twelve Step Suite into their own customs…..but these customs will be full-band customs.

As for charting Pro Guitar/Pro Bass for the DT customs, I’m regrettably limited in what I can actually chart. I can’t do A Change Of Seasons, Stream of Consciousness, Endless Sacrifice, or any part of the Twelve Step Suite because John Petrucci uses a 7-string guitar to play those songs. So that leaves me with very few options.

Also, as a personal note, I’m going to be not as busy with charting until my school year ends in about a month. I will have finals to do that will make or break me. Because of this, I would not expect much from me until summertime rolls around. And even then, I wouldn’t expect charts to flow from me like water ever again. I enjoy charting, but I’m really letting my ability as a writer slack off. Basically, I want to say that if I do decide to call it a day as a charter, I want to put links to charts that I could potentially leave unfinished here (as well as non-full band customs that have not been converted yet) so that the community could snatch them up and finish them. I think my biggest fear as a charter is that if I were to give up, no one would chart the music that I chart.

    Hello fellow rockers,

Today I bring you one of the most influential albums in the progression of psychedelic rock. The Doors debut album with multitrack audio! Now you can play the entire debut album(paired up with the Harmonix releases) on Pro Drums! Big thanks to Oscarj08 for charting the songs and I added overdrive, drum fill lanes, rendered the audio, and compiled. Since these are drums only for now all the other instruments is rendered to the backing track but if anybody wants to help chart other instruments then I will re render the audio accordingly for updates. “The End” is a song that I feel could of been a candidate for the last piece of DLC for RB3 since we got “Break On Through to the Other Side” as intro music for the game while The Doors were a prominent showpiece for the new Pro Keys instrument at the time being the first band to have DLC for RB3. Note that I compiled the release date for the album as 1966 even though Harmonix used 1967 for the songs they released. According to wiki, the album was sold in New York City in December of 1966 so I’m sticking to my 1966 release date.

Next is the 5 minutes drum solo spectacular from Cream’s debut album. “Toad” is considered to be one of the earliest recorded hard rock drum solo’s in history of rock music. This song also features multitrack audio where the guitar/bass is separated from the drums. You want a challenge drummers? Here you go.

Finally we have a 2X Bass Pedal version of “Hot for Teacher” from Van Halen. You want the single kick? Get it in the C3 database. This version features multitrack audio just like the convert in the C3 database but I didn’t put in all the venue, practice, animation features.

I plan on working on the rest of the Porcupine Tree that Meander gave me for the month of April. Expect those songs to come out bi weekly. Laters!

UPDATE: I almost forgot to mention that TheOreo fixed “In Absentia” CAT reductions. I updated the link in the original post.

Wow multitrack Doors! Would love to see full band on these. If only I could chart or had the time to learn
