February 22, 2015 at 1:19 am #439049Hi Sideshow, how do you convert .mid files to .rb3con files? Oscarj08 said he wanted to see some King Crimson charts with guitar, so I made a guitar chart for Fallen Angel using Feedback. I converted it to an .mid file, but when I try to author it in Magma C3, it says “ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (MIDI FILE): bad track name: ‘PART GUITAR COOP'”. How do I fix this? By the way, here is the link to the mid + ogg/wav: http://www.mediafire.com/download/mdmzf … ngelSI.rar

Its not as easy as just putting the .mid into Magma and out comes a con. The .mid has to have all the basic essentials like a beat track, venue, events, etc. found on the C3 template for Magma to make a con. Since I already did Fallen Angel in the past, just PM me the guitar charts and I’ll update the song with guitar and make a new .rb3con. Expect this song updated next weekend with lots of more King Crimson.
UPDATE:
I went ahead and put the guitar in my existing project. I added over drive, band unisons and guitar solo markers. Let me know if you like it.

Thanks for converting it! I play Guitar Hero 3 mostly, so I didn’t know how to add some of the stuff to make it compatible
February 22, 2015 at 5:06 pm #439067I mostly play bass on rockband.
I would love to see these pink floyd Wish you were here and Dark side of the moon album customs to have some bass!!
If no one else is doing it, I could give it a try to make the bass.
But I don’t know how to build it into a custom, so I could save it in reaper, but somebody has to make the custom.

You can download all my Pink Floyd Reaper files on the first page. Just update the Reaper files for the songs you want to work on and then PM them back to me. I will compile the song. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

February 22, 2015 at 8:49 pm #439073Guys, the Convert icon is not for conversion from FoF, it’s for songs originally from other official releases. It means the song is of a certain standard because it comes from another game commercially released. We have received a few messages from people who were let down by the fact that the songs they downloaded were not in fact conversion from any official release and we can’t have that happen.
Our number one goal is to give users something they can rely on, whether it’s a C3 release or a song released by any other author and “advertised” with the tools we created and tweaked to standardize releases. For that reason, please don’t misuse the Visualizer icons because it gives the wrong impression to people who download the songs, we can’t have Visualizer pics that are not reliable otherwise every release suffers from that.
February 22, 2015 at 9:10 pm #439074I have a guitar chart for Neurotica! http://www.mediafire.com/download/agjt5 … ca+RB3.rari also did a major drum fix to this, i guess sideshow will put that drum fix and your guitar chart in the upcoming release ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
February 22, 2015 at 9:20 pm #439075Thanks for the guitar chart to Neurotica. I have not worked on the drum fix for that song yet. Will add the guitar chart to the drum fix when I get around to it.
I’ve been using the Convert Icon because the charts were originally from Phaseshift. I have no problem not using it anymore if you want that icon used just for Guitar Hero conversions.
February 22, 2015 at 10:21 pm #439078Or use this one instead:
Replace in C3CONTools/res/convert.png ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
Thanks for the King Crimson and Pink Floyd songs ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
