    Cliff Burton Tribute Pack

    30 years ago today Metallica lost one of the most talented musicians to ever muster the bass guitar. We all know the story of the horrific tragedy involving Metallica’s tour bus. My purpose here is to share some of his works to help remember the legend that is Cliff Burton. With these releases also marks some significance. We now have full band albums of “Ride the Lightning”, “Master of Puppets”, and “…and Justice for All”. Note that Cliff wasn’t alive to play on “To Live is To Die”. He was given a posthumous writing credit for the song.

     

    Here is a very interesting post taken from “Master of Puppets” wiki:

     

    Master of Puppets was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” enough for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the United States Library of Congress in 2016.[1] Only 450 recordings have earned this distinction, with Master of Puppets being the first metal selection.

    In High School I sold my Master of Puppets Picture Disc because I needed gas money. Of course when I went to buy it back it was gone. :sigh:

    Thats a bummer. I saw your post in the general section regarding the wish for old Metallica content. Glad to have delivered it.
