All right, so I made my decision and my first custom ever is going to be:

Jamiroquai – Cosmic Girl

I owe it to my wife since it’s possibly her favourite song ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

But in an interesting turn of events this will be an entirely NEW custom, not an upgrade. Honestly I was having so much difficulty upgrading, and I was foreseeing to change so much of it, that I decided to start from scratch. Sorry to bostengaable for breaking my original promise!

On the bright side, beta version (expert only) is almost ready, if someone is interested in being a tester let me know!

Here’s the project status:

Drums: done
Guitar: done
Bass: done
Keys: missing done
Pro Keys: done
Vocals: done
Overdrives & unisons: missing done
Animations (basic): done
Practice sections: done
Beats/Events: done

The following will wait until after beta testing, because most of them depend on the expert charts or they require in-game verification:

Audio equalization/compression: missing done
Reductions: missing done
Harmonies: missing done
Animations (advanced): missing done (drums and keys, skipping guitar/bass LH)
Dryvox: missing done
Venue: missing skipping because the autogen is good enough

I am having problems trying to figure out the harmonies… in fact I am not even sure the background singer(s) are harmonizing at all or merely doubling the main vocals in the chorus!

 

Is there a harmonies expert around I can ask for suggestions?

I’ve been experimenting with spleeter to create DIY multitracks, so which song I will decide to chart next depends on a few factors:

 

– spleeter results quality

– general presumed difficulty of all instruments

– availability of keyboard transcriptions to spare me from insanity

– encouragement and requests

Thanks! Let’s see, I might do this song next after I finish the current one so I’ll let you know. I have taken the music score of the whole album from the local library, it ain’t great but it makes charting vocals and keys much easier.
