June 24, 2015 at 10:37 am #448881Thank you all ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> there’s another song from Drones on the way, just need to playtest it ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Sweet, I havent really listened to Drones, but if its anything like riff-heavy old-Muse, I’ll love it!
This one isn’t quite as riff-tastically old school as The Handler I’m afraid, but I hope you’ll still enjoy it ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
NEW – 24th June
Muse – Dead Inside
The opening track from their new album Drones, Dead Inside is similar to material from their previous album The 2nd Law, bridging the gap between that album and some of the heavier tracks that follow on Drones (check out The Handler elsewhere on this topic for one of those). This is a fun track on all instruments, especially Keys and Vocals, with a good guitar solo too. Enjoy!
Jean Michel Jarre – Oxygene Part IV
Jean Michel Jarre was arguably a pioneer of electronic popular music. He wasn’t the first to use synthesisers, but he was certainly one of the first to have a worldwide hit using them, and this is that song. As is so often the case, this track, while easily his most famous, is definitely not one of his best. But it’s pretty catchy, well known (check it out on
, I bet you’ll recognise it), and most importantly, good fun to play on Rock Band! Predictably, it’s most fun on Pro Keys, but it has a funky little bassline as well. I’ve put one of the backing keyboards on Guitar and the drum part is surprisingly tricky.
June 24, 2015 at 10:56 am #448882Great Muse charts! You should so do Reapers. DAT opening riff and that solo. Js

I can barely get my head around just listening to it. But it is on my to-do list so I’ll tackle it as soon as possible ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

If it’s fun on Vocals, then thats good enough, my main instrument is vocals when I’m with my friends, and Muse’s vocals are my favorite ones to sing. Thank you, Ruck Bogers! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
June 24, 2015 at 8:48 pm #448916Thank you for Dead Inside. Was hoping someone would make it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Great Muse charts! You should so do Reapers. DAT opening riff and that solo. JsMade some good progress on Reapers today – just vocals left to do, will have it done and uploaded tomorrow or Saturday with a bit of luck ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

wow you are a machine, I always look forward to moar Muse even though I havent really listened to Drones in full just yet. It gives me confidence if you’re working on songs from it, as I’ll assume the songs to be great to merit a convert.
If you have a hankering to work on older/obscure yet amazing Muse, check my thorough request post in the Muse thread, or you can just listen to them as I put links to every song, if that’s your thing.

I love pretty much all Muse so will always consider their stuff, old and new. I see Eternally Missed on your list – one of my favourites! Might give that a go sometime ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
June 25, 2015 at 9:32 pm #448988Thank you for Muse songs and for Oxygene IV.
For Muse, it would be great to have Sunburn
For Jean Michel Jarre, I think Rendez-vous IV is also a well know song

I agree about Sunburn, it’s in my request post/list too.

Sunburn is on the list (I think it’ll be great fun on Pro Keys) and I’ll keep Rendez Vous IV in mind – you’re right, it is one of his more well known songs ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
NEW – 26th June UPDATED 28th June – Trill markers fixed in Guitar
Another track from Drones (Dead Inside and The Handler are available on the OP), Reapers is one of the heavier tracks from the album and has some amazing guitar and bass work. The pace of the drumbeat is pretty quick, but not too tricky other than that. This is another song that’s great fun to play, I hope you enjoy it ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Some notes: there is some hi-hat in the choruses that I’ve not charted, because it’s played with the foot. I toyed with the idea of putting it in anyway but decided to be as authentic as possible. The Vocals track has all the shouted parts, but on harmonies they’re in HARM2, as they are done by the bassist on the record. I haven’t done the heavily processed backing vocals as I didn’t think they’d be much fun to try and sing (you can hear them in the background of the chorus and main solo).

So hyped for Sunburn.
Thank you for your releases. They are the most play I’ve gotten from the Drones album to be honest. I’ve only actually listened to each song once a few weeks ago, but I play them in RB3 all the time.
I also really appreciate the attention to detail you put into charting instruments in these songs. Brings a tear to my eye
