i mean i could be wrong but its just near impossible to play and i can play on expert pretty well, infact i prefer it cos now I’m so used to expert that anything less i know when i theres a note that needs to be played and i prefer the speed, but even on hard i can barely play just a bit better. i mean i have the no fail mode on with customs specially with friends round cos i find it unfair for them to fail on other songs that might not be finished properly for what ever reason, buck rogers and feel a moment play like i imagine they should be played but just a day its hard to tell, I’m happy I’ve got it anyway so all credit to you

It isn’t very naturalistic to play but I’ve been over it again and again and I think it’s accurate to the track. I hope you can still enjoy playing it – plus there’s always Buck Rogers and Feeling A Moment to play… ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
December 19, 2014 at 5:15 pm #434819Merry Christmas everyone! Not my words… the words of Shakin’ Stevens (I hope there are some Alan Partridge fans here, otherwise that was a weird thing to say).
I’ve been really busy lately but I’ve just about managed to do a little three-pack of Christmas songs, the latest of which I only started today. These songs have not been thoroughly play-tested and will not be as polished as my previous releases due to time constraints. I might re-visit them next year to improve, but they’re finished for the time being!
PLEASE NOTE – I have not had time to do Pro Keys reductions for this track (hence expert-only badge), while the five-lane reductions were done with CAT (hence CAT EMH badge). I made a few tweaks to the guitar reduction but that’s all. The reductions seemed reasonable at a glance but apologies if they’re not quite up to scratch.
This is Mike Oldfield’s version of a traditional Christmas carol from the 1800s. The recorder melody has been charted to keys. Some fun guitar solos here.
I love this song, but my word it was difficult to chart, especially the keys. There is very little guitar in the song, so I have charted the flute and synth strings to the guitar as well. Please note that the vocal timings may not be perfect but will be playable enough. There are also some slides missing, which is puzzling as I’ve done the same with these vocals as all the others. I will try and get this sorted in the next few days but it shouldn’t affect the playability too much for now.
UPDATED – 22nd December – removed percussion from HARM1 part, which was preventing harmonies during the saxophone solo.
I don’t know how well known this song is outside the UK, but this might be a bit of fun for those of us on this side of the pond ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> no guitar in this track, so I charted some of the synths and the saxophone solo onto it. I finished this one before I got ridiculously busy with work, so this is the most polished!
Finally, a quick word to say thank you to everyone here, I’ve loved discovering what this community has to offer over the last few months and I’m thrilled to be contributing to the forums, however slightly. I also want to dedicate these Christmas songs to my beautiful wife Mary – they’re three of her favourites and she has been very patient and helped me out with what play-testing I’ve had time to do. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and I’ll be back in the new year with my regular customs ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
December 19, 2014 at 5:55 pm #434826I was just watching some Partridge last night! I love having another UK charter doing songs that wouldn’t usually get done, not played them yet but i appreciate your work ^^
December 19, 2014 at 10:54 pm #434860thanks very much!!
any chance you can do Mike Oldfields ‘Moonlight Shadow’ please?
December 20, 2014 at 1:52 am #434881Thank you so much for Ring Out Solstice Bells. Probably my favorite holiday-type song.
December 20, 2014 at 10:06 pm #434935Brilliant Christmas 3 pack, thank you so much! Great choices!!
December 22, 2014 at 4:49 pm #435009Should note, in Merry Christmas Everyone, there is percussion on HARM1 as well as PART_VOCALS so in harmonies mode, the other two singers can’t sing in that part

Apologies for this, and thanks for bringing it to my attention. I will get it fixed and re-uploaded ASAP, hopefully this evening. Hope people have enjoyed the songs despite a potential hiccup or two ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
December 22, 2014 at 7:18 pm #435014loved all releases, cheers.
“In Dulci Jubilo” was definitely a “Oh that song” moment.

Thanks again for the heads up EdTanguy ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> and also, glad to see another Partridge fan here! Perhaps I’ll do a custom of his ABBA medley sometime ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Thanks as well to everyone for the kind comments, and Beuzhuksel – I don’t know Moonlight Shadow (in fact, I don’t know a great deal of Mike Oldfield beyond Tubular Bells and In Dulci Jubilo), but sounds doable from a quick listen through. I will give it a go depending on how my other customs progress ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
April 7, 2015 at 5:26 pm #442227NEW – 7th April
This is my first update for a long time, things have been pretty hectic since Christmas but I’m hoping to get a few more customs done soon. For now, here is Dawn of the Dead by Does It Offend You, Yeah?. This was a minor hit in the UK back in 2008 and may well sound familiar to any Brits here. I don’t know how well-known it is across the pond, but it’s a great song either way so check it out – have a listen

April 7, 2015 at 6:40 pm #442233First time I’ve come across your customs and looking forward to trying out Dawn of the Dead. One thing I’ve always thought was why hasn’t C3 released any Death Cab For Cutie? Well I hope your still planning to release anything by them. Keep up the great work.
April 7, 2015 at 6:42 pm #442234One of my favorite songs of all time. I’ve considered requesting it before but figured nobody would know what I was talking about. Thank you!!!
April 7, 2015 at 9:25 pm #442251Does It Offend You! Awesome! I actually also have a pack of 4 Does It Offend You songs (Dawn Of The Dead is not one of them) where I have finished guitar, drums and bass on expert and which I want to release as well.
I just like to at least add keys to it and other difficulties before I release them, but I am too lazy right now. So maybe I release them without keys. And I wish I could chart vocals but I am waaay too lazy for that haha.
So stay tuned. And thanks for Dawn Of the Dead (thank god, I didn’t chart that haha). Will try it soon!
