Hey all,

I’ve recently had an idea to try a Rock Band live stream, and wanted to see if there was any interest here for such a thing.

The format would probably be me playing songs on Rock Band (duh) and also chatting about topics like play technique, band influences, and favorite songs to play in the game.

I would of course also cover customs-related topics. I’d like to devote some time to showing others’ customs, like my favorite ones, lesser known songs, or perhaps suggestions from the community.

I’m not the greatest charter, but I think it could be fun to do some commentary on what it was like charting some of the songs I’ve done. Why I chose this song, why I charted the guitar that way, why this other song has a relative pitch issue there. That sort of thing.

I might even feature sneak peeks of unreleased tracks.

So, any thoughts? Would anyone be interested in watching something like this?

The two burning questions I have at the moment are:

 

• A good time, when people would be most likely to be able to attend
• Would it be best to play a song, then do commentary after, or commentary over the song like a dvd commentary track?

I will play official DLC. My plan at the moment is to do loosely ‘themed’ shows, with a mix of appropriate official and unofficial dlc.

 

As for the RHCP, I don’t actually have any of those songs (I’m not a super huge fan of theirs) so I probably won’t play them. However, I do love Dani California, so I may throw that one in somewhere.

One more question: Should I go all instruments mode to show off the charts, or just the instrument I’ll be playing (most likely guitar, might switch to bass/keys depending on the song)?
