I know the quality of the covers (and the game itself) is pretty laughable, but has there been any thought in authoring the few songs from Rock Revolution which didn’t appear in GH/RB? And did PowerGig or any of the other load of guitar/band games use multitracks?

We talked a bit a while ago about Rock Revolution but there not a lot of authors out there willing to work on what are almost only customs. Besides, more than a few of those songs already appeared in Rock Band either officially or as customs. PowerGig ha isolated stems that we can use, yes, something may be in the works.

I’d like to throw my vote behind Idlewild’s Readers & Writers from PowerGig. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
I was just thinking about the possibility of RR converts the other day. For a $9 clearance game, it managed to get a slice of my time for a while. Was pretty weird to get used to the drum charts, though!
I can still imagine there being some value to them, if the format was relatively portable enough to make them low-hanging fruit. Wouldn’t mind the covered versions of “Magic Man” and “White Room”, from what I remember…
It would be awesome to get Layla from Powergig. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I’d also love Magic Man, Kiss Me Deadly and White Room from Rock Revolution….but not as those covers. I’d like the originals.

No way.
And here a couple of people and I speculated that PowerGig used something along the lines of a fancy one-stem, 2-channel WAV/FLAC file, since they never bothered editing the fade-out on “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction,” and the chords were played over the music track on the video trailers.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if a certain song will be out with a multitrack setup or not. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
