September 10, 2015 at 8:19 pm #454638A look at the Career Mode
http://harmonixmusic.com/blog/a-look-in … reer-mode/
…no nasty crowds, and no cheap shots….we’re never going to build in features that purposefully make you feel bad about yourself.
Harmonix: 1
Activision: 0

I just posted something along those lines on Reddit. Looks like we all think the same.

September 26, 2015 at 1:47 am #455929New info from stream:
– first update/patch coming December 8 – will be free (as opposed to ?)
– game shipped with breakneck speed but not individually selectable speeds for each track – update will allow each track to have its own speed
– update will include lots of community/collaborative features to support those players
– they’re adding a new game mode that it’s something “new” and will be lots of fun – fun for all, not only expert players
it was all very vague but hinted at maybe score duel or online play.
Will update with more info if anything else is mentioned.

Hopefully opposed to paid updates that would in turn give us more features. Free stuff is good but stuff that turns a profit is what guarantees the success of a business project.

September 26, 2015 at 6:54 am #455949How about instead of news about future update they give us news on the DLC and exports that will be playable the day I get the game in my hands.

*re-checks stream*
Nope, definitely looks like they went with news on the future update.
September 27, 2015 at 11:51 pm #456101Whoopsie daisy!! Looks like U2 was leaked for RB4!!! I Will Follow!
September 27, 2015 at 11:57 pm #456102Huh, some leak that is.
Downloaded the video in case it gets pulled. But less than 2 weeks away, why bother?
September 28, 2015 at 12:44 pm #456129The other U2 song is Cedarwood Road, from their latest album.
September 28, 2015 at 1:20 pm #456131Well this basically confirms it for sure.
September 29, 2015 at 12:17 am #456173There’s no opening cinematic!
!!!

!!!
Yay! One less obstacle to get through every time I start up RB4.
September 29, 2015 at 2:23 am #456189Now, if it can only start loading cache without you having to press ‘Start’, we’ll have one less patently stupid UX decision to contend with, too!
September 29, 2015 at 2:44 am #456190Some details from watching the RB4 stream earlier
- Practice mode is gone
- HMXThrasher: “nope, not kidding. Actual statistics pulled from the game showed us that a shockingly small number of people made use of it – that being said, there’s stuff we’re patching in in the future based on fan requests, so like I said, try out the game as it is, and then let us know what you’d like to see down the line.”
- There is no drum freestyle mode.
- Awesomeness Detection is still present.
- You can assign specific characters in your band to specific instruments.
- When sorting songs by artist, the shortcuts show band names now instead of letters.
- Practice mode is gone
