Hi everyone, I have a question, I have an RGH xbox in which I play rock band 3 and I wondered if customs would work on TU5 since RGH doesn’t check for signed files.
This because I don’t know the changes between TU4 and TU5, google’d it without any answers, do you know the difference between both TU’s?
Bonus question: is there a way to mod the game graphics? like changing the main “Rock Band 3” banner on the “press start” screen?
    Thanks in advance.

I’m pretty sure you can, I haven’t toyed with an xbox360 for years but iirc you can convert CON files to LIVE files and place them on your HDD in the rb3 dlc folder, which I don’t remember at all where that folder is.

Surely someone posted this information somewhere in these forums.

As for graphics modding, maybe you can modify the textures and make a new iso (people have been using x360/ps3 textures for wii emulations so I guess they know where the textures are), but for 3d models I have no idea if any work has been done to toy with them.

    Edit: Found some more informations:

For ‘Rock Band 1/2’, Put it in the folder:
‘Partition 3Content000000000000000454108290000002’ on your Xbox 360 HDD.
For ‘Rock Band 3’, Put it in the folder:
‘Partition 3Content000000000000000454109140000002’ on your Xbox 360 HDD.

This was found on this website: https://sites.google.com/site/mahoppiangoon/customrbdlc (It’s dated alot but it has usefull informations)
I haven’t read it all but it seems to have good enough infos for loading RB stuff on JTAG/RGH xbox360.

I also have an RGH. Like Alternity said, you must convert the customs to LIVE and place them in the 00000002 directory for RB3. Best part of using an RGH is also being able to play customs in Blitz. As for custom textures, most of the game’s assets are stored in milo archives. On PS3/Xbox 360, textures are encoded as DXT1 and DXT5 formats. Currently there are no publicly available tools that allow file replacement of ark and milo entries for Rock Band 3. But I hear there’s one handsome dude still hacking away at the games.
