Hello There!
I’ve finally got into charting songs and i have few questions about tempo mapping.
1) I’ve done full song tempo mapping, but while i started charting drums i have noticed few moments where tempo markers are bit off. – Is there any chance of changing it into right moment/tempo without crashing rest of the markers, like when pasting image into word document ? Any advice how to do it correctly ?
2) Also, full song tempo map was done, but i noticed that i changed time signature few bars too late. I’ve tried changing it in the right moment and it’s showing next to marker that it’s there, but when playing with metronone it’s just doesn’t change the beat, any suggestions ?
3) Bit off topic question. Does RBN preview show toms on pro drums ? When i change note from cymbal to 110-112 it’s dissapearing from rbn preview, and on ‘named notes’ it goes into Drum Fill.
1) Here’s what I do. When you find your tempo map is a bit off in some place, find the exact location where it is good again. Once you do, record the timestamp value of that marker (it’s the time in minutes and seconds to three decimal places, you can take a picture of it or write it down somewhere). Now you are free to change any tempo markers from where it is off to where it is good. The final thing you need to do is make sure the timestamp value at the tempo marker where the tempo is good again lines up with what you recorded. Me personally, I record the next 4 timestamp values and make sure they all line up for more precision.
This is very dirty, so if anyone has a better way please share.
2) If you could post a picture of this problem I might be able to understand it better. Do the measure lines follow the time signature, and it is just the metronome that is off? If so, I’m sure you can change the metronome frequency somewhere in the settings.
3) For tom notes, you need to put two notes. Instead of changing the cymbal note to 110-112, keep the cymbal note and put a note at the same time in 110-112.
1) That makes sense, i’ll give it a try and hope it works.
2) Im charting a song that has few time signature changes, i’ve changed signature few bars too late that caused messy lines on drums. when i want to change time signature those few bars earlier, it says that it;s back on 4/4 but doesn’t play on 4/4 but still on previous 3/4.
3) i’m a moron that i haven’t figured it out, thank you…
