So after 8 years of good service, my 360 elite bit it. I have 2600+ songs, when I bought a new elite and switched the hard drive, thhey all showed up yay!

The issue is not with the customs, its the songs i bought off of the rock band 3 music store. 152 songs say “unable to play song, skipping” whenever we try tonplay them….all of em from the music store.

Songs include Nirvana – smells like teen spirit and Journey – dont stop believeing.

I can re download the songs from the music store one of a time, but they wont load…..rb3 wants to try to update when i log in with my xbox live account, which would kill my ability to play customs…..any advice??????

You might need to do a license transfer with your account that way all the purchased DLC will actually play when selected. It honestly just sounds like a licensing error. Just go to your account settings from the 360 and go to the option license transfer and let it do its thing.

If for some reason the songs still don’t work, delete the ones you said weren’t working and simply re-download by either the store or from your purchase history from your account settings on the dashboard. Thank you btw lmao

Edit: as far as it asking for an update, just simply cancel it and it will boot the game as it would normally. If you don’t get the option for cancelling then you need to turn off Auto-Downloads in the system settings.

There are other ways. If your DLC songs won’t play, convert the DLC songs from LIVE -› CON in C3ConTools. It works. To make the update screen to stop, just disconnect the internet on Xbox 360.
