I purchased over 100 legit RB3 DLC songs several years ago on my Wii. They’ve been backed up on my PC since 2016. Recently I copied them to my SD card and tried to play them on my vWii and got an error saying that they were “out of date” and needed to be re-downloaded. Since the RB3 Music Store for Wii is no longer working I cannot download them again, and I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get them working on my vWii.
For my RB2 DLC I used a hex editor to updated my console ID in the .bin files to reflect my new vwii console ID. This worked without problems. I did the same thing to my RB3 DLC, but get the “out of date” error. Presumably there is more data that needs to be changed than just the console ID.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I need to do in order to make my RB3 DLC work again on my vWii? I understand this topic is somewhat sensitive to discuss on the forum, so please PM me if your solution is not appropriate to post here. Thanks in advance.
I’m not sure just how grey area this is, but it sounds super sketchy. I approved your post (your first post needs approval) so others can see it but don’t be surprised if mods or admins decide this is on the other side of the line and not to allow discussion of it here. I’m not sure myself so here you. Benefit of the doubt.
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
