Hey all. So I’m working on a bunch of customs and I’m getting to the vocal part. I was wondering, when recording the dryvox file, do you need to stay close to the pitch of the song? Or is the dryvox file just for lip sync animations? Right now, it’s not a big deal since my charts are having unpitched vocals, but I was asking in case I go back and pitch the vocals or if someone else does vocals later on.

It’s just for lip sync purposes. Pitch doesn’t matter. So pronouce your words clearly, and silence any part that isn’t singing so the mouth doesn’t go moving around when theres nothing there ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
From the docs:
This file is used to generate lip sync, and to create scoring information for the vocal gameplay. In a pinch, you can use a wet vocal track, but both the lip sync animation and the scoring of the vocal track will suffer as a result.
Thanks for the info guys! Just want to make sure I’m not screwing it up!
