Okay, I am extremely sorry I keep asking for help, but I don’t know where to look. I have researched and researched and I can’t find anything that can help me fix any issues I’m having at all. So if you want, please help me out.
I have finished making a song in Reaper and now I don’t know what to do with it. How do I convert it from .RPP to the type of file that you put in the flash drive to play on RB3? And also, how do I edit it so it has the song information, picture, instrument difficulties, etc.? Again, I’m sorry, but I happen to be very new at this and very confused.
February 18, 2015 at 3:45 am #438674Export the MIDI from Reaper. Use Magma C3 to set song info and compile into a rb3con.
February 18, 2015 at 4:24 am #438677Thank you so much, I appreciate your help.
February 18, 2015 at 4:34 am #438678Okay, there seems to be problem after problem. And yes, I researched this, and found nothing. It says my song length is “0:00”. What can I do about that?
February 18, 2015 at 4:42 am #438679You need to watch the authoring tutorials. All the basic steps are covered there. Song length is based on the longest audio file you feed to Magma. You may not know this at all… but if you were watching the tutorial, and following along, you wouldn’t have ended up with a 0:00 file because you would have exported your audio fine and you would have imported your audio into Magma fine.
You can stop putting “I researched and found nothing” in every post. My point to you was to do your due diligence before posting. If you already did it (i.e. you researched, read tutorials, watch tutorial videos), then you don’t have to post that you did. If the question is such that it is implied you haven’t done your part, we’ll know, and some of us get cranky (proportionally inverse to how much alcohol we’ve had that day).
February 18, 2015 at 4:49 am #438680Oh, nevermind, I got it.
February 18, 2015 at 4:49 am #438681Once again, sorry, and thanks.
February 18, 2015 at 10:01 am #438686Yeah, unfortunately authoring a custom has many pitfalls and since the whoel process was never intended for “common users” but for people who wanted to make a business out of authoring songs for RBN HMX never bothered to do some soldi error catching and similar, so you definitely need to take a look at the docs and at our authoring videos before you start.
As Nemo said, there’s no reason to be sorry for asking for help, this forum is here just for that reason. The only thing was that you seemed to post questions before checking if an answer was already available. Once you look for an answer and can’t find any it’s more than fine to ask, even if we answered before and you just missed it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
February 18, 2015 at 7:28 pm #438715I know, I understand that I shouldn’t be making this many posts, but seriously I CANNOT find ANY information on ANY of the issues I’m having. I literally looked through all your troubleshooting and Googled it and this and that, and I just can’t find any help. And guess what? I got a new issue now that I can’t find help for, and it’s related to this post so I’m going to go ahead and ask now. I clicked on build and audition on Magma, and it got to as far as phase 2 of 5, and came up with this error:
Project Compiler: Entering Phase 2 of 5…
MIDI Compiler: Starting…
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (MIDI FILE): None of the required PART tracks were found
MIDI Compiler: Done.
ERROR: Project Compiler: Midi compiler failed.
Build ended at 2:19 PM.
What am I doing wrong? Seriously.
February 18, 2015 at 8:52 pm #438726Are the tracks muted?
February 18, 2015 at 8:56 pm #438727I clicked on build and audition on MagmaStart by using the recommend tools.
Magma: C3 doesn’t have a Build & Audition button…so you’re either using a ridiculously old version of Magma: C3, which I doubt because I don’t think you’ve been here that long, or for some reason you’re using the vanilla Magma, which you should not be.
Then, post the entire logs that Magma give you, not the portion that you think is relevant. If it’s too long, you can use the
or
tags to manage it better in your post.
February 19, 2015 at 5:30 pm #438804I’m about to try these solutions out in a bit.
