November 28, 2013 at 5:53 am #389521Authored a few bars of keys and decided to see if I could get it playing in the game. Got it through Magma after some fun and games. End result is an RBA file, and using some tools I downloaded I was able to extract the OGG, DTA, and XBOX files out of that. I then manually created a package in Le Fluffie and saved it a a CON. Put it on the flash drive with Party Buffalo, put it in the Xbox … nothing. The game seems to notice there is a new song (I get the 0/1 songs dialog) but it’s not visible in the song list. Tried the rename trick that has worked for me before, no dice. I’m thinking it might not just be a name/song ID issue, but I may not be creating the package the right way. Do you guys normally create your CON files for the first time with Le Fluffie in the way I did, or is there a better way to do it? I figured once the package existed once I’d just be updating the MID file (in general), but I guess it’s not as easy to create it in the first place as I hoped. November 28, 2013 at 6:29 am #409901So…you’re seriously telling me you have posted now several times in this board … and missed the two stickies at the top? Holy. Shit. November 28, 2013 at 1:21 pm #409918Wow. Yes, I am aware of both those threads. However, I’m seeing that the screen shot in the C3 Roks Edition sticky doesn’t match the screen that I get when launching, so I’m thinking my install of the C3 RAR over the Harmonix install wasn’t right and it’s not picking up the files, so I’m stuck with the default Magma at the moment. And I’m guessing from the tone of your reply that the modified Magma has a way of directly producing the CON files. I’ll have a chance to verify later. November 28, 2013 at 1:25 pm #409920Wow. Did you change the default program for Magma project files? If you don’t and you double click on a Magma project, it still defaults to the original program. November 28, 2013 at 1:37 pm #409922Heh, probably just as bad, I was launching Magma from the Start menu (and thus running Magma.exe instead of MagmaC3.exe). OK, I see Build is now trying to create a CON file. Thanks. EDIT: And I was able to play it.
