    Hello,

I am attempting to place a custom that is too large (42.2M:cool: into my Wii Rock Band 3 game. The song was originally Phase Shift but I was able to convert it to the Wii format successfully. I unfortunately received the “Cannot restore from Wii memory” error and noticed it was most likely due to the .bin size being over the 40MB cap. I have read StackOverflow0x’s tutorial on RockBiink here. My question is: The original sound files I have are: crowd.ogg, drums_1.ogg, drums_2.ogg, drums_3.ogg, guitar.ogg, notes.mid, rhythm.ogg, song.ogg and vocals.ogg. On RockBiink however, there is no place for crowd.ogg, notes.mid, rhythm.ogg and song.ogg. Also, RockBiink has “Backing” as an option. I am unsure what to do from here.

Do I mix crowd, notes and song into one stereo track and use that as the backing, while replacing bass with the rhythm? Please let me know,

    Thank you

Notes are the midi, so you don’t need that. Mix down the drums into one stereo track, preferably following whatever volume values there are in the DTA. The rhythm.ogg is the bass. The song.ogg file is the backing. You can mix in the crowd into this if you want, or discard the crowd audio. The program should be able to update the songs.dta file automatically for you afterwards. If you do want to keep the crowd audio, you can modify the script it makes manually, but this is more advanced.

I understand, so if I want to keep the crowd.ogg, I mix it into the song.ogg and this way the dta reads it without having to modify the script manually. Okay thank you. Just a follow up question – does RockBiink recognize loading the individual tracks as ogg files? or do they have to be wav? Also, when the .bik file is generated, do I just go to the song folder where the .mogg is located and delete the .mogg file completely, replacing it with the .bik file?

You need to convert the ogg files to wav. Then, the resulting bik file will replace the mogg file.

Perfect, thank you for your help. I have mixed and exported all my wav files, all stereo tracks split as mentioned in the tutorial. I loaded each track into RockBiink as well as the dta and clicked on “Generate RAD Batch List”. This is when it shows me the error “Generated tracks data did not match source data. Skipping DTA update” followed by “Generated Pans did not match source data. Skipping DTA update” and a bunch of other errors concluding with “Something went wrong”. Do you know why this error is occurring? Why doesn’t the data match and is there a way to correct this?

Edit: I removed the DTA from RockBiink and attempted to create the bik and it worked, however, once creating the new bin file and placing it into the game, it still freezes at the loading screen when attempting to play it. I assume this is because the dta requires modification with the new bik file.

        Bump?

^Same issue as him. Downmixed an encrypted multitrack file to guitar.ogg. Made a 2 backing channel and the rest is just a silenced wav files. However when try to play it, it freezes at loading screen.

The resulting .ogg file from ps converter is 48000 hz, and wii and rockbiink has a limit of 44100? could that be the problem?
