Hi at all! I started making a custom. I charted guitar, bass and drums and I am really satisfied. But I read about the Dry Vocals on the “Vocal Authoring” documentation.

    1) What is dry vocals?

    2) Is worth do the animations?

    3) Does the Show Floor requires animations and lightning?

    Thanks in advance!

Dry vocals are 16 KHz mono files that contain only the vocals for the vocal part. If you don’t have vocals stem you can try rendering out in Reaper the full mix and check the results or just record yourself singing. The audio won’t be used in game so you you don’t need to worry much about pitch (though it will relax the scoring window).

All C3 songs have animations and venue but with the aid of CAT and Magma those are fairly automated. though you still need to do the practice sessions.

      Hi!

      1) Can I render the vocal MIDI track inside Reaper and use it as a dry vocals?

      2) How I execute the CAT? I tried executing the CAT.py through the Python GUI but it didn’t work…

      3) All the lyrics I added is a “Text event”. How can I edit all to “Lyrics” without changing one by one?

      Thanks in advance!

        1) You can try, it can be a decent substitute but you need to check lipsync in game.

        2) Make you sure you checked everything in the “Before posting or reporting a bug, check the following common issues” here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1923

If you have checked everything, post there to get assistance.

        3) Never add lyrics one by one, always use a text file and import it, that way any issue is very easily fixable. If you already have done your lyrics by hand, you can either use CAT (quickest, because it operates in Reaper) or the MIDI Cleaner in C3 CON tools (less prone to system issues, unlike CAT).
