Started using customs a month back or so, got everything to work just fine, and even discovered that I could play all of my DLC (RBN releases included) offline with TU4. Recently purchased more DLC (downloaded TU5 to do so), but they do not load with TU4. Tried updating the song cache on the flash drive I use for customs to see if that would help, and it didn’t. So I’m out of ideas. I guess what I’m trying to ask is this: anyone happen to know how to make newly downloaded DLC with TU5 work in TU4?
Sorry if this question has already been posted or if the question’s not worded clearly.

You either need to have your DL licenses downloaded or be online when you play them: not a TU4/5 thing, just how the Xbox works. Are you sure you downloaded those files to your HD and didn’t transfer them? If not, just try to redownload them, you will only need to redownload the license, which will take a second.

You my have screwed the pooch in updating to TU5. I’ll let someone else suggest a solution since you wouldn’t like mine.
But FIY, you don’t need TU5 to get new songs. You can either go to http://www.xbox.com and buy it there, and it’ll just start downloading if you’re connected to Xbox Live (i.e. in the dashboard) or get the Music Store App and you can browse the store without actually going into the game itself, so TU5 is not needed.

Also, yes, the files were downloaded directly to my hard drive and not my flash drive; the flash drive was not plugged in at the time.

Well geez, I hope I didn’t muck anything up with that TU5 download. The flash drive with TU4 wasn’t plugged in at the time, the few times I’ve gone to TU5 to play online with friends I unplugged the drive; everything worked as it should before, during, and after, no problems.
Glad to know for the future, though, that I don’t need to update to continue downloading songs, though, thanks for that info.
