Question about xbox silver vs. no connection (first time user)

So I’ve got my songs on the USB ready to fire up RB3, I made a new xbox profile and I do not have a xbox live gold account but I do have silver (xbox is connected to my wifi) so it recognizes my purchased dlc so I can play it all.
Is that bad? Should I sever connection to my modem completely?

Nothing about customs changes your DLC licensing.
If you have to be online to play your DLC, you’ll still have to be online to play that same DLC with a customs USB stick and TU4.
Nobody’s been banned for playing customs.
