OK, so when you play customs there are clearly some existing songs in RB3 that cannot be played. Say I’d like to play a set of nothing but Queen (existing and customs), is there a way to do this without switching back and forth from thumb drive to xbox? Possibly a way to transfer/convert existing songs to the custom thumb drive? Thanks in advance.

Nothing about customs prevent you from playing any officially released song that you can play with Title Update 4. The only songs you can’t play are the couple unlocked by TU5, that’s it.
I’ve actually ran into what seems like a lot. I can make a list if you like? Do you know the answer to the second part of the question? Thanks for the quick response!
The example I used is Queen. Here’s a list of Queen songs that CANNOT be played when using the customs thumb drive (it says “unable to load song, skipping”)
I want it all
Keep yourself alive
Under Pressure
Tie your mother down
Somebody to love
One Vision
Fat Bottomed Girls
We Will Rock You
We are the champions
Killer Queen
Tenement Funster
Now I’m here
Play The Game
Another One Bites The Dust
Crazy Little thing Called Love
I Want To break free
Hammer to fall
As you can see, this is a huge problem if I’m looking to play a “best of Queen” session, no? And that’s just for Queen songs. I know the same problem exists for Bon Jovi as well. Hopefully there’s a work around.
As I said, it’s not a customs problem. Sometimes in the past you have changed your HDD or console and you never redownloaded all the digital licenses for your songs, so you can’t play them while not online. This is not related to customs, to play officially released songs you either need to:
1) play using the HDD and account your originally used to buy and download those songs
2) be online when playing
3) redownload all licenses for all songs you have bought before you changed HDD/console/etc.
You can Google the issue or search the forums, it’s popped up a number of times.
Yup, figured it out! Thanks again for the quick answers. Re-licensed them and re-downloaded what I needed to. The only issue I’m having now, is the 12 Bon Jovi “greatest hits” songs won’t play. Any idea if that’s a TU 5 issue? I couldn’t find it anywhere.
Hello?? Can someone tell me if they are able to play the Bon Jovi “greatest hits” pack with TU 4? Thanks.
I can play them along with every other piece of official DLC I’ve ever downloaded.
Hmmm. I wonder what gives? All the other ones are now working except for those. Any suggestions? maybe completely deleting that pack and re-download? Thanks for the answer!
