There is one song I’m going to work on soon (from Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening).
The OST has three credited people, so how would that go when I get to charting/compiling it?
If it matters, the three people that are credited for the game’s music are:
“Kazumi Totaka”, “Minako Hamano”, and “Kozue Ishikawa”
I’m doing something similar for the Halo soundtrack, and I label it like this:
Song: In Amber Clad
Album: Halo 2 [Vol 1]
Artist: Martin O’Donnell & Michael Salvatori
For yours, I’d suggest a similar structure.
Song: Instrument of the Sirens
Album: The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
Artist: Kazumi Totaka, Minako Hamano, & Kozue Ishiwaka
I was going to do that, but was worried it might be too long, like maybe breaking a limit or something.
But if the con/game can fit all that as the artist, then I’ll do it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
Yeah, that’s the problem with soundtracks. Composer names just take up too much room!
There’s a site that catalogues video game music releases and the such, called Video Game Music and Anime Database. Here’s a link:
Just type in the name of the game you want to look at, and if there’s an official release of the soundtrack, it may also include detailed explanations of who composed what songs. It seems it only has fan-made albums for Link’s Awakening, though it’s still a good resource to have.
If you feel like there are too many names, you can also use “Various Artists”.
GH3’s “Halo MJOLNIR Mix” credited the song to “O’Donnell/Salvatori/Vai”, with surnames only.
Maybe you could go with that?
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
