Putting all snare rolls on red with a DRUM ROLL marker, except the one struck for emphasis? Does that even work?

I’ve decided to go ALL SNARE all this initial roll…would rather have the realism of sticking to one pad during this constant 16th-note roll. With enough experience the player will be able to emphasis the needed strike on their own, and at the Expert level, this should not be very far off from most players being able to do so. On hard it drops to 8th notes, so it’s not even a problem at that level.

is the drum roll marker different when used with cymbals?

they are chained together but you have to still hit them all like there weren’t to keep your streak. i find the single lane easy to do as it’s faster but then the double lane one where they alternate you have to be spot on
