I’d love to record and publish preview videos for my songs but I can’t seem to get around the copyright restrictions. How are some of you able to publish the files on YouTube or DailyMotion?
April 19, 2018 at 12:43 pm #497353You can either alter audio enough so it passes, or you can host on MEGA, only difference is that the custom page will not show the thumbnail but “Video preview”.

April 19, 2018 at 1:46 pm #497356I’ve had just about every preview ‘claimed’ by a media company (representing the artist) which only means I can’t monetize it for my own purposes, but they can if they want to. A couple were blocked in some Asian countries. Otherwise the videos are still up and anyone can watch them.
Keeping the content Canadian since 2017!

MrPrezident: https://db.c3universe.com/songs/all/__user/MrPrezidentApril 20, 2018 at 3:34 pm #497400You could upload them to Google Drive. If you have a Google account, that’s all you need. Once you have a video, it uses the same player used for YouTube, so it works almost the exact same as a YouTube video.
April 23, 2018 at 5:40 am #497478I have the same idea as Prez. Just let them get copyright claimed, and that will just allow the copyright owner to monetize instead of you.
I did have one song get blocked worldwide, so that custom just doesn’t have a video preview.
If you’re worried about copyright STRIKES where your YouTube account can get banned, I’d just use a separate account dedicated to video previews.
April 23, 2018 at 6:30 am #497479Thanks for the suggestions. I don’t have a YouTube account and I in no way am trying to monetize videos. I was trying to use DailyMotion.
Maybe I am being paranoid, but since part of my livelihood depends on a spotless relationship with google and youtube is owned by Google, it is probably best that I steer clear of this grey area.
April 23, 2018 at 11:13 am #497482I’ve literally uploaded 90 songs that have been copyright claimed. I don’t miss the $1 I would have made from ad revenue, and my account didn’t receive a strike.
April 24, 2018 at 9:29 pm #497521Same for me – every video is copyright claimed the second it is uploaded. I opened a 2nd account for these videos so all should be good ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
April 25, 2018 at 2:58 am #497537Can someone please tell me how to make a preview video? Thank you in advance ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

The way I do it is I use the Hauppauge Colossus 2 capture card with Windows 7 and then output the Xbox 360 to the Colossus 2. Choose a song, turn on All Instruments Mode, and record using the software that comes with the card. There are other ways.
April 25, 2018 at 11:04 am #497555I’m on PC so just use OBS, which is free.

Thank you! This was helpful but is there away to make the game play the intermunts like in audition mode or is that dream long and lost?

Not with this approach, as far as I know, but others are able to do it using different approaches that I have not tried.
April 27, 2018 at 4:42 am #497595I use this because it records video to usb drive – that way I don’t have to have a PC or laptop connected up to my xbox setup.
