Any help guys? At least to why my songs are ending abruptly?
December 22, 2019 at 3:24 pm #508578It is a problem with your DTA file (If you’re refering to songs not showing up).
If you still add 390 customs in one go and you have problems, it will be a pain to find the problematic song within these 390 songs.
There’s a reason why I say to add small batches and test every batches, it’s to prevent taking forever to find a probvlem if there’s one.
We can’t just download your DTA and take a look at it, there’s thousands of entries, manually looking at each one would take too much time, and sometimes the error is so subtle you will miss it.
The best way to find the problematic song is to load small batches until you load a batch that doesn’t work, then you know the song is in that batch., then you reduce that batch until you narrow it down.

Do you think it’s a song that causes the problem? Or is it because that I’ve downloaded like 50-100 songs that I’ve overwritten?
December 22, 2019 at 6:01 pm #508587It’s a specific song.
When a song has a bad DTA entry, the game will stop reading the DTA file from that point.
December 22, 2019 at 6:35 pm #508588If you manually copy-pasted DTA entries into the old songs.dta, it could also be that you accidentally added an extra character or remove some. That was my case at least.

Oh well I guess it’s quite easier then, thanks for telling me, I know most of the songs that were missing anyway, looks like I’ll have to manually check and I’ll try to remove that one DTA entry.

The thing is the positioning of the DO NOT EDIT THE FOLLOWING LINES MANUALLY… of the other songs were flipped. It’s quite hard to explain in words but if you check my quote above you can see what I’m trying to explain. How do I fix this?December 22, 2019 at 10:54 pm #508599Looks like the songs are now loading properly, I just removed the song DTA entry. I’m still wanting to fix the loop ending, and some songs abruptly ending too.
December 23, 2019 at 12:10 am #508603These will be much more tricky to fix, but you can look at Shroud’s threads on the subject.
