I have a couple songs that I found just trying to listen to the preview of the song crashes the PS3:
Van Halen – “Ain’t Talkin’ ’bout Love”
Koji Kondo – “Slider”
Slider, I got to play like 10 seconds of the song and then it just completely crashes, but the previews of them halt the system. I installed all 1219 songs on the PS3, played over 50 of them already, but those two are all I can find right now! Thank you everyone for the hard work! This made an AWESOME Christmas gift to my brother and neighbors!
December 28, 2014 at 5:55 pm #435361anyone tried Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here? tried it last night and got the “unable to load, skipping” message. I’ll give type 2 encryption a try later but thought i’d check if anyone else has trouble. I also noticed its shortname is a duplicate of Incubus’s track with the same title, so I may try changing that too.

thanks for confirming. did you use the ps3 package or convert the xbox one? and if you converted, did you use type 1 or 2 encryption? do you happen to also have the incubus song? I’m curious if duplicate shortnames cause errors or not.
edit: nevermind, figured out my issue. the directory was in camel case but the songs.dta showed it lowercase. fixed that and it appears fine now.
January 2, 2015 at 4:06 pm #435559There was a skipping song issue on All That She Wants by Ace of Base thats fixed now.
So if you have already downloaded this song before give it another try, please.

I just converted the two songs again manually. So could you download both from the database (PS3) and try again, please.

Have you tried downloading the song once again from the database as PS3 version?
That one should work!
I converted the song manually after I had no success doing it with type 1 and 2 (C3 CON tool).

i originally grabbed the ps3 version, but it didn’t work due to my hacked installer not fixing the mismatch between uppercase/lowercase on the song directory – which i noticed after type 2 conversion also didn’t work. once i fixed the directory name, the c3 con type 2 conversion worked fine (i didn’t go back and retry type 1).
January 26, 2015 at 8:00 pm #437092There was a “skipping song” issue on ACDC’s Touch Too Much that has been fixed now.
So if you downloaded it just do it again please.
February 7, 2015 at 7:18 pm #437935Found a problem with the new Chris Isaak / Wicked Game song_ID.
It’s the same as Kanye West – All Falls Down
Both are 1070500002
My library count was off by one last night and it was driving me nuts to figure this one out.
Hamburgerjung, is it possible you or the author reset your song_id counter this week?
Cheap Trick – The Flame is 1070500001.

Ah, I was afraid this would happen any day.
It was caused by the movement from an older release to the latest C3 tools – sorry about that! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
I will have a look on it and replace the songs.
February 23, 2015 at 7:16 pm #439123Song Scratch21 – Strangers (ft. EileMonty) song gets corrupted in the middle of the song
Song Scratch21 “The Rhyme” as well gets corrupted in the middle of the song
Didn’t try the other scratch21 songs, they might all be corrupted when playing on ps3
March 6, 2015 at 5:51 pm #440025It looks like we have an issue with the song “You Really Got Me” by The Kinks.
This one collides with the version of Van Halen, because the folder and song name is equal (youreallygotme).
I tried to rename the one from Van Halen to youreallygotme_vh (songfolder and songs.dta), but hadn’t any success (skipping song issue).
Any ideas?
March 6, 2015 at 6:40 pm #440036remember you have to change the value in the dta, the name of the folder AND the name of all 4 files to the song. that should work.
March 6, 2015 at 11:00 pm #440066**** Edit ****
Did not see Hamburgerjung is on the Kinks issue.
Locally, I changed the new one to “youreallygotmekinks’.
Then I changed the pathname in the DTA file to match.
Should work.
Might be better to rename the Kinks version since people are just starting, or have not yet downloaded it.
*** Update ****
Using this method, Kinks worked, but VH is missing from the library.
March 7, 2015 at 8:33 pm #440134Here’s where I’m at.
I’ve renamed both folders and DTA data for both ‘You Really Got Me’s’.
RB3 is reporting ‘Showing 2495 of 2496 songs’ on all views, and the one missing is VH-You Really Got Me.
Would the fact the filename being the same mess up the cataloging?
Is it possible to change the name of the 4 files in the pS3 convert without breaking the custom?
*** Edit *** The above strategy of renaming did not work.
March 7, 2015 at 11:11 pm #440142After renaming everything to kinksgotme I ended up with the skipping song issue (I will have to check if the VH song is missing, glad I saw this thread). Tried running through edat tool but was unable to decrypt. Anyone know of another option? Oh and on a side note, the other three songs I downloaded from this weeks release all give the loading screen freeze. 2/5/10 sec. options didn’t help. Did they change something in the way they create their customs?
