Hey, I’d like to report that I’m having trouble trying to play I Wanna Rock in my RB3.
I have it in my flash drive, fine and dandy (double-checked it on both USBXTAFGUI and Party Buffalo), but when I put it in my console, it doesn’t show up on the setlist.
Then I navigate to the Storage Options to check the contents, and the console lists it as “Damaged” (it has a yellow icon with a ! on it).
I’m not sure deleting the song cache would work in this case, and my connection to Xbox Live is unavailable for the moment (due to the lack of a wireless modem), so I can’t get Update 5 to keep Dani California and Black Hole Sun in my game. What can I do?
(Just to be clear on the TU5 thing: I know customs don’t work with it, I’m just saying because we have to update, save the song cache, and then go back to TU4 to have Dani California and Black Hole Sun with the other songs, and I’m trying to keep a setlist as complete as possible, spanning all main games in the series. And by deleting the cache, I’ll lose access to these two songs before I can get TU5 again.)
Then I navigate to the Storage Options to check the contents, and the console lists it as “Damaged” (it has a yellow icon with a ! on it).
Open the file with C3 CON Tools. Does it show CON or LIVE? The problem you’re describing is usually when you put a LIVE file on a retail Xbox. You can try toggling the options, making sure you end up with CON selected, then click on Save. Try it again.
Yeah, I checked it and it was CON. Double-checked it on C3CON before saving it, and it didn’t work.
But I solved the problem by clearing the cache, redownloading the song and uploading it without trying to change anything on the DTA (which I assume was the reason why it wasn’t working before – and I hadn’t even changed any important information, just wanted to switch the genre from “Glam” to “Metal”). Thanks for the help anyway.
