BornGamerRob, the video in the thread is outdated, and i don’t see any tabs in C3 Con Tools that say anything about the internal name or song ID.

Then you missed the “outdated” part that talks about it being called a DTA Editor (about 17:00 minutes in since you don’t want to watch it). What you’re asking to do takes knowledge. You’re gonna have to dig in to these tools if you want to use them and learn how to do conversions, or work with the tools here that have lots of forum threads that help. There’s lots of ways to accomplish what you’re asking for with the C3 CON tools, you’re just going to have to take a little time learning about them.
July 1, 2019 at 7:17 pm #505854Ok then, I could try using the DTA editor a 2nd time. Hopefully it actually works.
July 1, 2019 at 7:24 pm #505855Ok, so I’m now in the DTA editor and I have opened the con file. What do I need to edit in order to get the game to recognize that the song has drums?
July 5, 2019 at 8:01 pm #505909What do i need to edit in the DTA file?
July 5, 2019 at 9:26 pm #505911OK, so far, nothing I’ve tried has worked.
here’s the DTA file, Anything that has an arrow pointing at it is stuff I’ve already tried changing.

July 6, 2019 at 1:57 am #505921Ok so everything I’ve tried didn’t work.
So here’s the DTA file. Anything I’ve tried to edit to get it to work will have an arrow next to it.
Hopefully somebody will be able to explain what I’m doing wrong.

)July 6, 2019 at 2:01 am #505922Did you make a previous version of this chart, and are now updating it with drums? If so, you’ll need to change both the internal song name and the song ID. RB3 stores the metadata for its songs in the cache, and it checks for new internal song names and song IDs when scanning for songs. If you don’t change these values, the game will think that the metadata hasn’t actually changed.
Also, FUGGNUTZ, I’ve tried changing the internal name and song ID, it doesn’t work.
