So I am thinking about adding PRO Guitar/Bass to my first custom…but the problem is that I am not sure if the game automatically changes the notes when you play on a Mustang with only 17 frets and then goes back to the way I authored it when someone plays on the Squier with 22 frets (which is what I have at home) like it does with the on-disc songs and the official Harmonix DLC. Does it actually work like that? Or do I have to create separate versions of the charts to cater to both kinds of PRO Guitar controllers?
The game will display either the 17 fret pro guitar track (PART REAL_GUITAR) if you’re playing with the Mustang or the 22 fret pro guitar track (PART REAL_GUITAR_22) if using the Squier. If there is no 22 fret track authored, the 17 fret track is used for both controllers. The 17 and 22 fret bass track names are “PART REAL_BASS” and “PART REAL_BASS_22”, respectively.
There are the occasional requirements that the game has, such as pro guitar trainers have to be defined in the 17 fret guitar track instead of the 22 fret track.
