In case you don’t frequent the Scorehero site you may not know that there literally hundreds of Pro Guitar Upgrades available to all. Some are for custom songs but most are for DLC released though RockBand.
This link will get you access to just about everything that is available “RB PRO upgrades tracker” put together by Columbo777:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc … dplr#gid=0” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
From there at the top you will see the ZIGGY PACK DOWNLOAD, grab that first as there are 300+ pro guitar upgrades in his pack.
After that go through the individual links in the doc to grab upgrades that aren’t in the pack.
I’ll post the ones i’ve made here as well and keep this thread up to date when I add new ones. Just added “The Distance” by Cake today:
“Tyler” by The Toadies
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Sex Type Thing” by Stone Temple Pilots
the hard track has some easier verse chords adjusted
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Interstate Love Song” by Stone Temple Pilots
The hard track has some adjusted verse chords that can be played by humans, the expert track has the ones Dean DeLeo plays
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Lightning Crashes” by Live

“Shooting Star” by Bad Company
My original hard track change didn’t work. Changed it back
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Hands Down” by Dashboard Confessional
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Wherever I May Roam” by Metallica (version 4, no longer crashing)
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Dead and Bloated” by STP
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“The Distance” by Cake (custom, expert guitar and bass only)
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Remedy” by The Black Crowes
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZz … sp=sharing” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
“Ocean Avenue” by Yellowcard (drop d tuning on guitar and bass just fyi)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5XtxZ … sp=sharing
All tracks have bass as well.
Let me know if you have any issues with them or have any feedback!
If you don’t know how to use pro upgrades they work just like custom songs, just inject them onto your USB stick right where you would put customs and the song cache. You can also put them on a Title Update 5 stick with no problems as the title update does not restrict pro upgrades for any released content.
Let me know if you have any questions. enjoy
September 9, 2013 at 7:32 pm #405934The only problem with that spreadsheet is it doesn’t differentiate which songs have actual pro bass and which ones have the copied over pro guitar.
September 9, 2013 at 8:28 pm #405938Its the column right beside “Source”, labeled “Bass (or Gx2)?”. Granted some of the songs have this column blank
September 10, 2013 at 4:21 am #405974That’s not helpful at all when
This means that the BASS track has either a second copy of guitar or a full bass chart. No other options are acceptable. (Bass can not be empty)If the guitar chart is copied over to bass, it’s not a bass chart and he doesn’t mention which ones have actual bass charts.
September 10, 2013 at 6:25 pm #405994If you look at that column for each track if it says “B” it has a real bass track if it has “Gx2” that means the guitar part is copied to the bass track.
Hope that clears it up, let me know
September 10, 2013 at 11:45 pm #406019That’s great, actually. Thanks. What about the other ones you posted here?
September 11, 2013 at 2:47 pm #406028All my upgrades have guitar and real bass parts. The ones here are the same ones as in the tracker document, just copied the links here for convenience.
September 12, 2013 at 3:32 am #406045Are any of these on their way to be included with future RBHP releases?
September 12, 2013 at 6:56 pm #406096That I am not sure about. I have no problem with them being included, I just don’t know the process.
September 13, 2013 at 3:59 pm #406145Contact espher and see what you need to do. He’s taken pro guitar submissions from others and pushed them out in his updates.
September 14, 2013 at 3:18 pm #406199in order to be RBHP compatible, it must compile in MAGMA. This means all those stupid .mid errors that dont affect the game still need to be cleaned up (such as hand positions and other fiddly .mid things).
The process STEPS are simple though:
1. Download MAGMA and then AFTER installing it and running it once, exit.
2. Download the C3 hack for MAGMA that supports PRO and copy over the top
3. Load up the track and try to compile.
4. Fix the errors if any note: sometimes this MUST be done in reaper ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
5. Take the “clean” PRO file (must be G/B-EMHX) and sent to ESPHER.
bonus note: after inclusion in RBHP, the ala-carte pro track must be deleted of the stick or HD.
September 30, 2013 at 3:57 am #407017How do I find out whether the upgrade needs the Mustang or Squier or if it supports both? I want to know what’s the more supported so I know which one to get.
September 30, 2013 at 5:39 am #407019How do I find out whether the upgrade needs the Mustang or Squier or if it supports both? I want to know what’s the more supported so I know which one to get.That really depends on the author. If it was charted to just PRO, it’s good for both Mustang and Squier. If it was charted on both PRO and PRO_22, the Squier will be playing the PRO_22 part instead.
There are very rare chances of a song needing to be charted with up to 22 frets, though. To the author, it’s either an option or a means of quality control.
To the player, I wouldn’t know.
October 1, 2013 at 9:15 pm #407122I always chart the full song, so if it has solos or whatever played above the 17th fret I make sure it is as accurate as possible. (get the Squeir and plug into an amp as you play!)
also just finished:
“Remedy” by The Black Crowes
