Sorry in advance if anything I say here comes off as angry, pointing fingers, whining etc. as that is not my intention but I am a tad bad with words.
Either way, I have seen there have been a bit of lack in playtesting in general for a while now, and I wondered if something had happened or if we might need to call in some more playtesters? As it is right now I feel I have to do more tests than I am really capable of and I feel I am giving worse advice than usual due to being a bit burned out. Of course, I know you guys tend to do some testing behind the scenes and what not so it’s probably not a huge problem all in all, but yeah I wonder if we should consider looking for at least 2-3 more regular playtesters to put on the team?
I hope I didn’t come off as snarky here
Good timing.
It’s something currently being discussed. I want to have assigned tests with the new blood, but I want to make sure that we’re setting the guidelines for what is and isn’t acceptable in a chart before we bring people in and ask them to evaluate things. I don’t want testers to be reviewing the ‘wrong’ things and wasting their time or those of the authors, so to speak.
We definitely are all in agreement that we need to bring in more bodies.
Unrelatedly, please don’t live in constant fear of sounding snarky! We don’t want to promote a culture of paranoia. Criticism and pointed questions are totally fine, just don’t go overboard in playtests. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
