I’m confused.
All this time I was playing customs, I thought that I had to play either customs or original songs, but not at the same session.
If I was playing customs and I wanted to play an original RB3 song, I closed the game, went to xbox storage, deleted the tile update, remove the usb with the customs and started the game.
When I was done and wanted to play customs again, close the game, get rid of the tile update, put the usb in with the custom songs and start the game.
But yesterday I wanted to play some originals (and dlc) , but I hadn’t done this for a long time.
Had to put the xbox online, got 2 updates, but I did leave my 2 usb’s with customs in the xbox.
Started RB3, but this time I downloaded the tile update to one of the usb sticks and started the game.
But I saw that all the songs were loading (more than 1100) so I said to my girlfriend that this would not work and I should remove the old tile update first.
But when the game started I could play the original songs (the dlc for sure) but also the customs and I was like WTF?
Is this something you guys did from the start?
I did not know that it was possible to play originals and customs in one session?!
February 14, 2016 at 3:19 pm #463541Of course it’s possible. As long as you don’t have TU5 you can play customs. As long as you have the licenses for your DLC fine and you don’t need to be online to play those songs, then there’s no reason why you couldn’t mix them together.

February 14, 2016 at 7:50 pm #463561Okay, so i use 2 usb sticks,
If i put the TU5 update on the 2nd and when I pull that out I can play our fantastic customs AND the official DLC’s that I bought.
Only if I want to play the songs from the RB3 cd , i have to run the TU5 update.
Is this correct?
I will try it this evening
February 14, 2016 at 7:52 pm #463562You only need TU5 if you want to play online. That’s it. You need to go over the how to play customs tutorial.

February 14, 2016 at 7:57 pm #463564I must be doing something wrong than.
Im not interested in playing online, but I cant seem to play customs and my official dlc in the same session.
I will remove the TU5 and see what happens
February 14, 2016 at 8:20 pm #463567Most of the songs work, but not all, like
A-HA – take on me
AFI – girls not grey
Alanis morisette – you oughta know , but the other songs from her are fine (i think i bought the dlc album)
Anarchy club – get clean (the other two are fine)
Beck – e pro
Are they original RB3 songs that were on the cd?
But tears for fearss everybody wants to rule the world works fine (luckely!)
Bee gees no song and I did get the 6 songs pack
Bon jovi greatest hits dont work
Creedence pack dont work
(I will restart the xbox with TU5 to check if they work then. If not, maybe i didnt put the licence over from my broken xbox)

There’s no maybe, you need to redownload the licences. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
February 14, 2016 at 8:49 pm #463570Help,
If i run the TU5, I can play the original dlc like bon jovi and creedence,
But…
While I can see all my customs and hear the preview of that custom, when I want to play the custom a message on the screen appears with disc unreadable and clean it.
Than the game starts again and has to load the 1100 songs again.
I dont get to play custums and originals in one session.
I have to play or customs and when I want to play originals, i have to get rid of TU4, and run 5 and only play originals
Is the reason that i can only play the dlc that i bought is because I am online with the TU5?.
Maybe I cannot play the dlc while offline. How do i fix that

That could be the answer, but how.
I threw away that old xbox
February 14, 2016 at 9:01 pm #463574Well, you need to do your own research. This has been answered before a few times.
February 14, 2016 at 9:08 pm #463575Can you give me a hint?
I tried to go to acount, transfer licence, but I dont see the purcheses i did on the other xbox
February 14, 2016 at 9:11 pm #463576I don’t know how to do it. I’ve never had to do it before.

February 14, 2016 at 9:31 pm #463577I tried the licence transfer but it didnt change anything.
I did lose all my saves, but luckely i put a save on the 2nd usb stick, so i “only” lost 50 songs gold.
Must be a license issue why i cannot play dlc offline
Hold your horses, maybe i have a breakthrough…
Went to the RB3 store and when I selected the creedence pack there was an option Download Again.
And with the coldplay pack, that option was not available and those did already play fine.
February 14, 2016 at 10:28 pm #463580After hitting transfer licenses, go to your account on the xbox dashboard and go to download history, from there, just “redownload” (if you already have the file on your hard drive, it will just download the new license) everything and it should work offline.
February 15, 2016 at 7:39 pm #463615Thanks storm, thats a quicker way that I did.
I went online to RB3 store and downloaded the song from there.
Really slow program.
Some issues, like bon jovi greatest hits. They would not play offline, but the bee gees pack does.
When I reload the bon jovi it was already on the HDD
Now Ive manually deleted the bon jovi album and is downloading again.
Cannot find the snoop dogg pack strangly on my HDD.
When I want to reload it, the message appears if Im sure I want to buy this again, while the others songs are free.
Also alanis morriset you oughta know is not playing but I think thats a RB1 song and thats maybe a license issue as well.
But it is already a lot better
Edit: creedence and bon jovi are playing offline now ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
