it seems like the fall update will be paid for and anyone who gets it will get online play for free.
this new online play and expansion will cost 30 dollars well thats fine but we have to wait until christmas for it thats disappointing!

– Fall update will cost money and online play will be given to those who pay for it and people who pay for the fall update will get free updates into 2017.
– Midi drum support confirmed for xbox one if you have a midi pro adapter
– Score duel not returning
– Big focus of online play is dealing with people who have mismatched DLC libraries.

I’m happy that the most requested features are finally being added.
I’m not happy to learn that the title is ‘feature and content locked’ after the update, which could possibly mean that I can’t add further music without the update. I doubt that is the case but it’s a strange way of phrasing something.
I don’t play online ever and I don’t have an xbox live sub. So overally I’m not sure what to think, I guess it depends on what else is offered for the money.

Yeah I can see it being irritating paying for your ISP, Xbox LIVE Gold, and the update to play online.
I’m assuming there will be a lot of other content. At least that’s what Harmonix seems to be implying.
My theory for the new mode is some sort of RPGish leveling up your profile similar to Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock.

As long as your ION drum kit brain functions correctly then all you need is to buy this new PDP XboxOne adapter coming out this fall. The PDP adapter will accept the wired 360 ION brain as well as the wired MadCatz Midi Pro Adapter.
