This is an awesome series of announcements. I’m curious as to what the Fall Update™ will include since it’s apparently not online, Ion drum support, or practice mode.

yeah i am guessing it’s some new modes similar to brutal mode in the sense of changing the way you play rock band 4.
April 24, 2016 at 11:28 pm #467559I’m hoping for some new customization options as well.

Of course. HMX made zero mention of the fact that many PS4 players don’t have the exports that Xbox One players have, many SCEE PS4 players are buying DLC from the store (i.e. right now it has a price and lets you pay for it) that they can’t play. Etc. There’s still quite a lot that needs to be fixed.

Yeah, for sure. It’s just really irritating to see all these fixes people have been demanding being announced and still all they can do is say “well, where’s my personal updates for me?” They think they know how to develop a game and that updates can be pushed out overnight.
Grr. Frustration. Grr.

I thought I read somewhere that the new modes are inspired from games such as World of Warcraft and Destiny.

sounds like fall update and multiplayer may not be free according to the new blog post harmonix put up.
April 25, 2016 at 1:11 am #467565Wait, hang on, you couldn’t practice songs until this update? Seriously?
April 25, 2016 at 1:19 am #467567All in all, it would not be easy to find another developer as committed to their product, to be honest.
April 25, 2016 at 3:08 am #467577Glad to hear about multiplayer, I’ll dust off my copy once that hits, hopefully they’ll add in an online versus option at some point
April 25, 2016 at 4:27 am #467579If Ion Drum support is coming, do you think it’s possible that the wired 360 GH2 guitars might eventually get support?
I really hate the RB guitars with their mushy strum bar, and new wireless GH guitars are so expensive….

If they don’t work now it’s highly doubtful. Wired peripherals are very outdated and wouldn’t be very feasible to work into the game when there are so many other pressing matters.
The GH guitars by themselves are only $50 which isn’t that bad. You can probably find a used one at a game store or eBay/Craigslist for cheaper.

This device might actually let you use the Xplorer on the XboxOne.
I already contacted their support to see if the MadCatz Midi Pro Adapter would work and they said no.
April 25, 2016 at 11:24 am #467593After a string of pretty lackluster Rock Band news, these announcements are very welcome.
