One time I deleted files from my memory stick using Party Buffalo, and BAM! my stick was toast and reported as full. I searched around these forums and some others had reported similar things, and the recommendation was to *NEVER* delete using Party Buffalo, but to only delete on the console with the file management tools there. I reformatted the stick and follow that protocol and haven’t had a problem since.
I’ve also run into a problem with “256 files in a folder” with Party Buffalo, so I keep it to 250 per folder.
Yeah, I had the exact same issues when I deleted w Party Buffalo. Like you, I never delete with the file managers anymore, only thru Xbox. No issues since, knock on wood.
So I checked this evening and there is plenty of space on the thumb stick as well as 450+ files that PB sees. I tried again to inject 1 new file and it says it’s there until I close the drive and reopen it. Then it’s not there.
I solved that, again, using for only one time another injector. Have you tried Horizon now?
That seemed to do the trick. Thanks!
Your solution would be to package a bunch of the CONs with LeFluffie to free up some slots.
I didn’t know that was possible, looked into it, its SOOOO EASY. I cannot thank you enough for this tip.

Just so there is no confusion. If you package CONs into a pack with C3 CON Tools, it’ll free up “slots” on the thumb drive as far as how many items you can have there. It will NOT affect the number of songs seen by the game or your max amount of songs. Whether “loose” or packaged, each song will always count towards your max song count.
Possibly related question, what’s the exact number of songs you can have in Rock Band? 2900-something? I know I’m getting close to that.
2952
Yes I understand there is a hard number of songs, 2952 (or something like that) is the ceiling, thank you for clarifying.
You know what else I have noticed about packaging songs – previously when I started ‘Quick Play’ in RB3 it would start counting the DLC files, which could take about 2 minutes, until it hit somewhere in the 2000~ range. After putting all the single songs into four or five ‘packages’, it no longer counts up to 2000, it stops at under 100! It is a much faster startup time now.
