Lil’ update! I don’t know about the rest of you but I couldn’t stand the cover of Juke Box Hero we got as DLC, the delivery of the line “stars in his eyes” always made me really cringe. So since someone recently requested it at a RB party, here’s a convert of the original! I re-did drums to RockBand standard obvs.

It disappeared from the database entirely, from the looks of it. It was there briefly. My guess is that it’s BECAUSE the cover exists.
That would be a bummer. I hate the cover versions made for the game. There fine if it is a band covering a song, but not the covers made just for the game. What I mean is, “As made famous by”.

Original songs charted when a cover was available from Harmonix have not been a problem in the past. The same goes for live versions.
To my understanding it’s only a problem when original Harmonix made charts are lifted directly. But maybe my info is out of date. And I don’t know if it was the case for the foreigner song.
Yep sorry guys, Sin nailed it – I didn’t realise the rulings about original versions vs covers on the forum, still counts as official DLC and so song has been pulled.

As always, please believe us that there is no other motive than preserving this place and making it last: I really hope that isn’t lost on anyone how this project has been groundbreaking since its inception 3 years ago and how every single step to make it last as long as it has is very carefully planned.

This was probably one of my favourite tracks of 2014, you might’ve heard of the band from their fantastic performance on Letterman. Note that vocals are unpitched but hopefully someone else knows the band on the forums and wants to give a crack at giving them a proper treatment? Samuel Herring is an absolutely fantastic singer.
Oh hey also, let me take this opportunity to say PLEASE STOP ASKING FOR THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF JUKEBOX HERO. I will not send it to anyone on these forums, as to respect the rules C3 has in place, and that’s that.
