This may be a coincidence, but I have been able to play them if they are the first songs I play when I start up RB3.
Both times I’ve tried playing them after other songs, the game froze.
Is this a known issue?

And its over 3 years since i made that album, problem is based on the way we made customs back then. Can only be undone by redoing the songs which im not gonna do.
Why isn’t something as simple to fix as recompiling with Magma? How much work is really involved in that? Unless the charts wouldn’t even pass Magma, which is a whole different story.

Unless the charts wouldn’t even pass Magma, which is a whole different story.its made in RBN1 and i was restricted by the 10min max so i had to cut some songs short and move alot of things around.
In other words if i ever wanted to look at this again i would need to do it from scratch to feel good about it.
As much as Blackwater is the best album opeth ever has made then im just fine by playing the album and restarting RB to play other songs for now, to busy with RL to use time on it tbh.
If you choose to play the whole album at once rather than single songs then you can get through it without the console freezing. After you play the album and pick another song is when the console will probably freeze.
