Mmm, that would be my aggressive attenuation level tweaking before the doing any mastering. Like you said that could introduce that noise. After dealing with the extremely loud early guitar hero stems, I got it into my head that such loud source stems needed greatly reduced volume before any editing. I’ll try working with a -10 or -15 db base instead of -25 db on future RR songs. That should reduce the noise introduction hopefully.
If anything comes of the custom let me know, I’d love to try it out.

I’m actually considering using Audacity to separate drums and bass (using Vocal Remover), but not until I work the cut a bit more (I’m quite busy with other things at the moment).
As far as the custom goes, I might try it after I complete some of the others I’ve already started (I have over 30 customs already and some I’ve neglected terribly).
Hey everybody. I’m still alive and kicking. Sorry for the lack of updates for so long, but I’ve been working on all sorts of different things and have been a bit busy for the past 3+ months.
I’ve teamed up with The–Way over on the FoF forums to work on a little project you’ve probably heard me mention in passing before. So far it’s kind of limited to Phase Shift at the moment, but at some point maybe they could be converted to RB con.

As for stems, I have a good back log of new ones uploaded and ready to post, but I’m waiting a bit longer to see if I can get more done for an even larger update.

I am gonna be giving you credit, but I am using Walk This Way by Run-DMC (ft. Aerosmith) and am planning to make it full band, though I am gonna be needing to figure out how to lower the difficulties for drums. I just wanna bet this would kick ass as a song for Rock Band 3!

You shouldn’t copy the chart wholesale of course, but the lower difficulties of the “Walk This Way” track we got through official DLC can go a long way in deciding how to reduce the drums for the cover version.
First up, I wanted to better announce the project The–Way and I have teamed up on over on the FoF forums. He and I decided to dig up the pre-band GH games, including the DS games, and work a little on them to bring them up to full-band glory. Yes, a lot of them we already have shiny RB or newer GH versions of, but we wanted to preserve and update the originals. We want to add everything from (pro)-drums, solos and trills, new star power, vocal charts and the whole she-bang. Heck, if we had help from others, we’d love to add pitched vocals and harmonies, keys, and even pro-guitar/bass, and especially bring them to RB3 as customs. You can read more about it by clicking on our logo.
Secondly, I felt bad for not posting anything and promising a huge update. Unfortunately its still a long ways off. So, I decided to release a little something to make up for it.

I think that will be TheWay123 and/or Mr. Ice Pickle that will be handling the chart conversion to mids with the BH DS files.
Also, updated the link for The Judas Kiss (GH3 DLC) since it was pointing to the GHWT DLC by accident.
Ah, very well then. Either way, I’ll have to wait until I can get my computer to have internet access again (my so-called smartphone downloads like crap and has very little free space to begin with).
Added Bulletproof Heart by My Chemical Romance to WoR, and updated Anyway You Want It by Journey for GH3, with a much better mix.
