November 3, 2014 at 10:27 pm #432091I wonder if those Crush 40 and “Weird Al” songs that were announced for RBN but never got released would be possible to get.
The authors involved in those were OzoneEntertainment and ThatAuthoringGroup, respectively, and neither are currently active (though TAG songs that were already finished initial authoring stages are being ported over to C3, none of those include Weird Al). There’s also the factor of those being huge, major names that would probably demand a lot of money, or at least their labels would demand money.
Oh, well am I stupid…

November 4, 2014 at 4:58 am #432124I didn’t know Crush 40 was announced for RBN… now I”m even sadder that RBN ended ;_;If it was going to happen, it would’ve happened years ago. The band were announced as part of a list of artists supporting RBN, before RBN even officially launched. Back in 2010, it was revealed by Ozone that they were unable to acquire distribution rights from SEGA’s record label Wavemaster, so the plans sadly fell through.
But hey, at least two of the three songs that they planned are now out there as customs (Live & Learn in the C3 database and Open Your Heart in my thread.) Shame that
was never finished…
November 4, 2014 at 3:16 pm #432134Oh yeah, I”ve had those two for a while, although Open your Heart is out of sync (I’m not sure if it’s yours or the other guy’s version, though)
November 4, 2014 at 4:33 pm #432139To elaborate on the RBN songs I’m going to bring to C3:
-I am attempting to bring as many Chart Toppers Authoring songs to C3 as possible that never made it out the door when RBN was open. I can’t guarantee that I can bring all of them, because it depends on what artists say yes to letting me convert their songs to customs. I can confirm, though, that I have at least 14 songs confirmed, with more to come.
-I have spoken to some other RBN self-authoring artists and will potentially get the songs they were working on that they were going to put in RBN, as they don’t have interest in authoring customs but have no problem with their songs being converted/additional songs of theirs being authored. More on that in the future, hopefully.
-I have not spoken to other authoring groups about recovering their songs, and probably never will. Too much potential legal stuff involved in it that I’m not willing to try just for customs. I’ve got more than enough stuff to work with anyway with CTA songs.
-I am authoring customs that were not CTA songs (as in, artists I asked for multitracks for customs that actually gave them to me), or were going to be CTA songs if not for legal snags stopping them from RBN inclusion, or are from CTA artists who wanted to give me more stuff than what I had already to make into customs. I have at least six songs of this nature confirmed and potentially many more to come. One hint I’ll drop: I’m doing a song which will come out next month from a band originally meant for RBN, whose vocalist is a solo musician, and he gave me one of his solo songs to make into a custom as well which will come out at some as-of-yet undetermined date. This solo artist has had customs released by C3 before. And that’s all the hints you’ll get. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
That should give you all a general idea of what to expect from my future releases and hopefully clarifies the scope of my projects. With very rare exceptions, if it doesn’t fall into anything said above, I’m not working on it. If I somehow run out of stuff, this may change.
November 4, 2014 at 4:59 pm #432145*snip for page length*Thanks. I forgot to properly introduce myself though, hi! I’m crazycoolcat5, a Weird Al fan, Sonic fanboy and horror game player. I have to thank you though, for the Superflous Motor track. My goodness that was hard! You can chat with me if you ever want to on my Off-Topic discussion discussion thread in the General Discussion area if you want. We got a contest where you make your own country. The longest and most elaborate won wins!
I’m happy to try Ambient Stalactite Boogie, so I hope you stay around for a long time.
Nice to meet you, and thanks! I plan to be here for a very long time, I have a lot of RBN conversions to put out here plus other things I want to release. As for Superfluous Motor, he’s all for customs so if there’s any other of his songs you want to see come out through C3, let me know and I can make it happen! (Shattered Groove is already confirmed by the way, I’m putting that one out in its entirety.)
To expand on that. If people don’t want any existing material that I’ve put out there, but have interest in stupidly hard songs. I’d be more than happy to make exclusive songs for C3. I can’t promise that they’d be musically interesting, but I can certainly make songs that will put your skills to the test. I take requests too. Want a 15 minute long space funk jazz track that has an 8 minute guitar solo? Sure no problem, it might not be interesting to listen to, but it will definitely give your hands some horrible cramps if you go for the FC. Want a song that has challenging extended solos for all instruments? Sure no problem. Just say the word and I’ll have it done. I have the stems for everything on my Bandcamp page so if anyone wants to see any of that in Rock Band, just say the word.
For those of you who have enjoyed anything I’ve created or helped create, thank you!

Get that Open Your Heart custom on the show floor man! I actually saw that KoTW custom on YouTube. Perhaps you can contact the person so we can polish it up?
