I *so* want #4 to be The Who – “The Real Me”, but I know it came out in ’73 and Townshend wrote it.
Instead, I’ll guess
#5 – The Who – “Squeeze Box”
Hmm… Townshend also wrote Squeeze Box, so it’s not that. Also, The Who By Numbers was released in 1975, not really ‘late’ 70s.
I would also like it to be The Who, so I’ll guess:
#5 – The Who – “905”

I was working off of this clue for #5:
“Hint for song #5 – This band is one of the most popular bands ever. There are many tracks by this band in the game already, but one more will never hurt. This track is from the band’s 7th studio album.”
[X] “This band is one of the most popular bands ever.”
[X] “There are many tracks by this band in the game already, but one more will never hurt.”
[X] “This track is from the band’s 7th studio album”.
It *could* be “Squeeze Box”.
But basically, we agree that more The Who would be great ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
December 1, 2015 at 3:57 pm #460111I’m not at all a modern country fan at all but I like some old country and Country Boy Can Survive is my very favorite Hank so so yay!! I love it!! I’ve actually always thought it would be a fun RB song!
If I can ever find the time, I’d like to take a look at a Hank Sr. tune.

Ah sorry, I was confuzzled there.
I recant my guess then ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Although it fits most of the clue for #4, I’m not sure it was ever a top 40 hit.
December 1, 2015 at 11:46 pm #460135I’ll be staying well within my comfort zone with these guesses:
1. The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Stone Free. B-side to Hey Joe in the UK and not initially released on the Are you experienced album.
2. Probably the White Stripes from above, but I’ll go with Royal Blood – Hole.
5: Queen- If you can’t beat them.

Stone Free was already released by Harmonix

Very true but also a very different version. The one Harmonix released in their Are You Experienced pack was taken from the Valley of Neptune album.
That said: I doubt song one is the Stone Free version of the first album/Hey Joe single, but it fit the hint in my mind ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />.

Release Notes
This week we went with songs by bands we had not done tracks by yet. They are for the most part pretty big bands.
Def Leppard – Me & My Wine, I chose this song because I often tease my wife, who loves her wine, that this is her favorite song. It is a fun rockin’ Def Leppard song, no other way to describe it. It is a riot.
The White Stripes – Do, I’m a big fan of the band. This track isn’t a tough one, but I love this song. Enjoy!!!
Twisted Sister – Wake Up (The Sleeping Giant), This song is a great rock anthem that inspires you to raise a fist in the air and rock hard. Twisted Sister is a super-talented band. I am thrilled we could bring this awesome track to you this week. It has been on my list for a long time.

There weren’t a lot of correct answers this week. There was a lot of good discussion, so it was a total success.
Once again, thank you for playing along with us. It is something we really enjoy every week.
Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short
December 5, 2015 at 6:42 pm #460319Queen- Dead on-Woohoo! Thanks guys!
December 5, 2015 at 6:47 pm #460320This was a pretty awesome week, and it’s always a treat doing a full week full of stuff that’s more on the popular side.
If you want guitar solos for days, then War Eternal and Wake Up (The Sleeping Giant) are for you.
War Eternal is one I’ve wanted as full band for a while, and is a very catchy song, even though I’m not a huge Arch Enemy fan. It’s very challenging, but still fun on all instruments, and it has a fairly unique drum part.
Dead on Time is another that I’ve wanted us to do for a while, and we are super lucky to have Farottone to help us out with vocals! This is probably one of Queen’s fastest and most challenging tracks, by far, with an insanely fun guitar riff and a quite long solo as well.
Jungle Love is another one that we both thought would be great. Unfortunately, we didn’t chart the single Keys note in the beginning of the song, because it’s not really worth hitting a single note then sitting there for the rest of the song. The riffs are all interesting, and the main drum beat isn’t too challenging, but there’s plenty of faster stuff throughout.
Overall, a very fun week with a good amount of challenge, and stuff from popular artists, how could you go wrong?
December 5, 2015 at 7:04 pm #460323Wow!
