September 8, 2015 at 8:51 pm #454533I don’t think Down Boys is a possibility; Warrant’s first album wasn’t self-titled.
Sorry folks, I was mistaken on the hint for that song. It still isn’t Warrant, I’m sorry there is no Warrant on our schedule at this time.
The song was actually on this band’s second album. I guess I hadn’t had a good breakfast that day, so my game was off.
Unforgivable. You’re fired from your unpaid and altruistic position.
September 9, 2015 at 4:46 am #454552Holy cow, does #2 mean we’re finally getting Keep Your Hands to Yourself by Georgia Satellites? As much as I wish you were right when I looked up details for that song wiki they didn’t really match. I’m surprised that song never became official DLC or an on disk song. It would be a great song for Rock Band.
September 9, 2015 at 4:51 am #454554I feel like I should mention that #5 is also a cover, and features a one-off appearance of a member from a band that we’ve done two customs for. In fact, I like that band a lot…
September 9, 2015 at 8:00 pm #454579I’ve tried really hard on #5 and can’t come up with anything fitting the criteria.
I know you said it’s from the second album not the first, but can you clarify that the first album is the one that’s being referred to as self-titled and that the second album which the song is the first single from is the platinum one being referred to in the original clue?

Not self titled, not first album but second album. There was probably another hint somewhere in there as well.
September 9, 2015 at 9:10 pm #454585Whoever gets that hint for #5 will definitely be one of the cool kids in the Funhouse. The song is definitely one of my favorites I’ve heard, in a while, and just sharing it with everyone, as well as everything else we’ve got this week is enough for us to get our kicks.

#5: Afterglow (Of Your Love) by Quiet Riot
September 9, 2015 at 11:05 pm #454595keep in mind the #5 hint stated that this is the first single from the “self titled” debut album…
EDIT: overlooked the edit of the clue… understand that the song is actually from the 2nd album
in that case, i will go with W.A.S.P. – Wild Child ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

Read thru the recent posts. It’s been stated that its also a cover song.

September 10, 2015 at 8:06 pm #454637Heck..I’ll end the misery and take what I think may be the best shot…
#5: Kix – “Body Talk”
As long as you are talking still about the first single released off their second album “Cool Kids” (one of the hints), of which the song was written by Nick “Hot Child in the City” Gilder and the album has Brad Divens from Wrathchild America (which you’ve done customs on, as also mentioned in a hint). Their first album was self titled “Kix” (another hint). Now if you looked up the wrong things, then you could say “Cool Kids” is the song (per a youtube vid, says it’s their first video) but that still doesn’t make it the first song released off the album, “Body Talk” was, so that should be it. And since we are getting our “kicks” (hint)…might as well be while rocking out to “Kix”. Only hint that still doesn’t make sense is the one of it being “a cover song”…I know Kix was known for being a big live cover band early on, but that song as far as I know was not a cover, though nowadays, it has a name-alike by Echosmith.
If I am right on it, I hope you plan to do “Don’t Close Your Eyes” sometime soon.
