Also, while creating the new Roky Erickson Song, we did update Two Headed Dog, as it was done a long time ago. Now both of our Roky tracks will have same metadata and will match C3’s release for author sort. It has a new ID and new metadata. These Roky Erickson songs are very fun and are two of the absolute best songs we have done. I urge you to pick them up, you won’t be sorry.

Release Notes

In addition to the awesome Roky Erickson this week, we also bring you the Butthole Surfers track we have all wanted. Pepper is fun, silly and great for RB parties. Not too hard, not too boring; just good fun. Also this week, we bring you the return of Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Tomahawk and Peeping Tom). Mike Patton is one of the greatest voices in all of music. He returns with supergroup Tomahawk and a track from their second album, Mit Gas. The song Harelip has crazy lyrics and to me feels like I’m on drugs just hearing it. You definitely should check these tracks out if you haven’t heard them. They are so good. We bring you some Sodom for those out there who want something really difficult. The Clash, I need not even say anything, I mean they are the only band that matters, right? And on top of that we bring you a fast, energetic fun Hives track. This is one really fun week. While these might not be from as big of name bands as some we have done, they are amongst the best we have done. I had a riot play-testing these. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. These just flat-out rock.

Hey there Rockers,

It’s Monday again and time for your weekly dose of trivia. We have a really cool week for you this week. This week is a “theme week”. All songs are part of this theme. Have fun!

 

Hint for song #1 – Our first song this week is from an artist returning to Funhouse customs. After leaving a super-popular band, this artist put together one of the best bands ever, musician-wise. This track was the second single from this artist’s debut solo full length album. We already authored the first.

 

Hint for song #2 – The next track is from a band that has seen many songs in rhythm gaming. The chorus of this second album opening track sounds a bit like Hunter S. Thompson’s list of things to pack for a trip.

 

Hint for song #3 -Okay, this next song isn’t going to be an easy one to guess. The artist was a one time member of Rainbow. This song off a solo project features the most fun cheesy 80’s style video. This track off the artist’s third solo album was featured in the film Secret Admirer, one of the best teen comedies of the 80’s.

 

Hint for song #4 – This female megastar began her music career as a back-up singer for several big name stars. This theme-appropriate track topped the Billboard Adult Top 40. It was the first single from the artist’s fourth studio album.

 

Hint for song #5 – Our next offering is based off a track from 1935’s Porgy & Bess, they even shared the first line of the lyrics. It is the 4th and final single from this band’s final studio album, we already have the first three in RB.

 

Hint for song #6 – This awesome cover was an accidental single, when KROQ in Los Angeles began playing this album track. Despite the band not liking it, the song turned about to be their most popular single ever. In fact it was a top 20 hit. The only case of switching dancing bears and Henry Rollins I know of.
