August 1, 2015 at 2:32 pm #451783The Wire was one of the best shows ever.
I forgot something in the post, sorry, For Eddie Money – Shakin’, we tried to include as many elements of the GH Rocks the 80’s chart as we could. But it was a cover. Most of the guitar chart worked out and parts of the bass did as well, with changes and adaptations of course. It turned out quite nice.
August 1, 2015 at 2:39 pm #451784Just saying this for the future, but we’ve just barely scratched the surface of Meat Loaf songs. We were thinking one per album (with the exception of the Bat Out of Hell albums) would be good. Not too few, not Chronicles-level.
Also, if anyone has played the Taramis chart, it’s adapted from my version from Drum Project 7 over at fof.net, except the double bass actually makes sense. It’s a real doozy on drums, but guitar has a bunch of cool riffs, and bass isn’t a slouch for difficulty, either.
August 1, 2015 at 5:02 pm #451794Don’t mean this to be a “dick” question, but, out of all the great Meat Loaf songs out there, what made you decide on these particular two? Can’t wait to see what’s down the road, thanks!

It is simple… They are great songs. Meatloaf has a great body of work. Why these songs??? To expose those who may have only heard certain songs to other really good songs. This is the honest answer. If you like other Meatloaf, give them a listen and you just may really like it.
August 1, 2015 at 9:19 pm #451820To add on to what Nunchuck said, if we did every super popular Meat Loaf song, i.e., the ones that people really want to see, there’s a risk of C3 doing them.
We’ve also been pretty big about releasing songs that “you didn’t even know you wanted”, since we want to give good stuff that people know, but since we don’t want to overlap with anything C3 or what any Other Customs author might do, we’ve gone for some otherwise questionable picks for anything that we’ve done.
August 2, 2015 at 2:11 am #451836Thanks for the songs. Hoping that Shakin gets harmonies before my work Rock Band party in two weeks.
August 2, 2015 at 3:22 am #451840I am 110% in agreement with you guys, I am all for songs that are fun to play in RB3 rather than an artists most popular song that falls flat and are repetitive when you get to actually play it with fake instruments. My experience has been the 70s Classic Rock songs have been the most fun to play because Musicianship was of high caliber. Whatever you guys feel like releasing I am there right behind you in support. You guys have proven to me you got great taste in your selection. Rock on.
August 2, 2015 at 4:04 am #451841Don’t think i’ll be alone in saying, One of the things i love about this thread is that u guys chart songs that are really fun to play on all instruments, & there’s a good chance they’ll be songs (or artists) i’ve never heard before. You’ve definately brought some cool songs to our attention & anybody who doesn’t get that is missing the point i guess!
U guys rock, keep it up.
August 3, 2015 at 9:25 pm #451995Hey there Rockers,
Happy Monday! We are back with a few hints for you. Before we get started, a little housekeeping: please don’t edit your posts to add/change guesses. It is hard to see who got answers first if you do that. You can answer all 6 in one post, just please don’t edit posts that are already made. If need be please make another post. Thank you. Okay, now on with the fun and games.
Hint for song #1 – Our first song this week is the first single from this band’s sixth album. The almost experimental-styled album was quite different than their skate punk beginnings. I was listening and what I heard was awesome.
Hint for song #2 – This next song is by one of the biggest bands ever. It is a cover of an early 80’s British punk track. It comes from an album named after a famed food fight between band members.
Hint for song #3 – This next song should make a literal army of fans happy. The video, at the time, was in heavy MTV rotation. It would be the only video to feature their new guitarist that left the band soon after recording the album this song is from.
Hint for 3 pack – Next we have a 3 pack of tracks from an American industrial band. This band’s founder’s parents are a southern rock icon and a singer/actress/entertainer with a 50+ year career. All three songs come from their second album and major label debut. There will also be a hint for each song:
– (song 1) – This song is a cover of an indie rock song.
– (song 2) – This song featured the bass playing of Duran Duran’s John Taylor.
– (song 3) – The pack’s final song is the band’s biggest hit. It was featured in ATV Off-Road Fury.
Come on back Saturday and see if you guys can get them all this week.
Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short
