Send me the project file for Cry of the Banshee and it’ll get pitched vocals.
It’s so cool to have more from two of my favorite artists! Bowie and Dylan ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Hey there Rockers,
It is Monday again, time to see what we have for you this week. We cooked up a fun week for you all. Let’s see if you guys are sharp enough to get these trivial dilemmas.
Hint for song #1 – This week’s first track is what I consider to be one of the first grunge songs ever. In fact, it cemented the artist’s place as the Godfather of Grunge.
Hint for song #2 – The next song is on the Rolling Stone top 500 of all time list. I’m in love with that song. The song was so good it partially inspired another band to write a song praising the group’s singer, that song ended up in RB years ago.
Hint for song #3 – This mega-star guitarist went solo for this track. The song was his highest charting track. It also featured the bass player and drummer that would go on to become part of the band Big Country.
Hint for song #4 – This band is returning to our customs with a super-cool Zappa-esque track that is partially in French language. This was one of the coolest songs from this band’s self titled debut album.
Hint for song #5 – This guitar driven instrumental comes from the second album from this lesser known bay-area technical thrash band.
Hint for song #6 – This new wave of British heavy metal band brings us a track from their first LP. I know it sounds strange, but they swapped vocalists with Satan.
Check back Saturday and see what we did this week. Have a good week, see you then.
Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short

Ditto that PaulaW
While I wouldn’t complain about September Gurls or The Letter being #2, the hint leads me to believe that it is actually MY favorite song of all time, Thirteen by Big Star.
First hint I had a good chance of getting right, now let it be true!!!
Also, thanks for week after week of kick butt customs. The Fugazi and Husker Du were
#2 – Any number of Rolling Stones songs to choose from!!!
Rock Band Blitz had “Moves Like Jagger” ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

That would be nice, but even I, as resident Stones fanatic, don’t see that as too likely. Big Star seems much more probable. But Stones fans will not be left wanting for customs, they just need to be patient ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
#2 Big Star – Thirteen
September Gurls & Thirteen were written by Alex Chilton who is the lead singer of the Box Tops, not about praising him.
Who could ever doubt Whigparty???
