To Sideshow: We didn’t use your version of Learning to Fly as a base. I don’t know if Nunchuck specified, but we used the album edit to shorten the song a bit, and maximize the amount of parts that are playable, within the song.

 

We do everything from scratch unless we explicitly state otherwise, which that’s only been the case for a few songs.

 

I think I already said this, but yeah, can’t state it enough, thanks for the feedback, everyone!

I have trolled these forums forever, but I had to register just so that I could thank you for all the awesome…… From Danzig, Metal Church, B.T.O……King Diamond, Pink Floyd, Helmet..even Gordon Lightfoot and Donnie Iris……..just wow…..and thanks so much for allowing some 20-40 somethings to drink beer and play crazy rock band on saturday nights,…….

There’s some audible bass, but I couldn’t tell if it was synth, or bass guitar, so Nunchuck left it up to me if we’d chart it or not. I didn’t think it was actual bass, so I neglected to chart it, but my ears aren’t perfect, so it might’ve actually been bass, and I goofed.

 

There’s no one person credited to playing bass on any of Prince’s releases, and some of the mixes on his songs are a bit weird, but I assumed that not very many of them had bass, at least out of the ones that I’ve listened to.

I’d like to echo what others have said and want to thank you for all the hard work you have put in over the last year. The customs of yours I’ve played are up to C3 standards in my book. Just hoping someone adds vocals so C3 can rubber stamp them in the near future.

Yeah, I don’t understand why songs from Purple Rain aren’t a priority. Those songs are timeless, just like 1999.

It’s difficult to understand why more than 2 years into our operation people still have a hard time wrapping their heads around the fact that you want to work countless hours on songs that matter to you, not the ones that have any objective historic value.

Today is Prince’s birthday. Happy Birthday Prince!!!!!

 

I listened to many Prince songs leading into work on Raspberry Beret. I chose it because it was steady on most instruments for whole song. Many other songs had sparse instrumentation, on one or more instruments, in them. Which make for much less exciting game play. I am a real Prince fan. I’ve seen him live and I own a ton of recorded material. I own Purple Rain on Album, CD, VHS,DVD and Blu-ray. In the future, we may give more Prince a look. Right now, I’m just happy that we brought you a fun Prince song. I hope that answered any questions anyone had about Prince and our choice.

 

Thank you everyone for all the kindness. This was a super fun release to work on. It was fun to do hints on. It was most fun to play them. We love this game. We will return soon with more songs and fun.

 

Please, remember to enjoy what you have and try not to spend too much time pining for the things you don’t have.
